Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I got a sliced chicken sandwich! It was so good I didn't need any sauce with it! I usually don't care for waffle fries, but these are seasoned nicely and very crisp not rubbery like other places that are known for their waffle fries! The staff was very accommodating and friendly and made us feel very welcome!

For those that just skim reviews, the important thing is the food and customer service is great! I am a local, I have eaten here in the past (previous owners) it was good then but they closed down all the time so we got frustrated. We decided to give it a shot today after a 1.5 years or so maybe a bit longer. The new Management is great. Shane and Eric B were friendly, answered any questions I had about the menu, prepared our food quickly and even brought it to us at the table! The waffle fries and Okra are made fresh so they were both very good. The potatoe salad is very good. Pulled pork and burnt ends were very good. We will for sure be back! Thank you to the new owners for bringing this place some new light, the big glass that devided us back in the day, you had to scream over it and it made ordering very uncomfortable. The updated changes are awesome. I am told they own the Flat Rock location as well, so I assume the service is just as great. 💕

Pleasantly surprised by this place. In town for the weekend and my kids wanted some BBQ. We're not the most picky eaters but to have a meal where nobody complains is pretty uncommon. Everyone was happy with their food and we ended up getting almost every meat they had to offer. There were at least 8 options of good meat to try. The sides were also really good. Fried pickles, Mac and cheese, fries, and waffle fries. I would visit again!

This was only our second time eating here but it will certainly not be the last. The two guys working were extremely friendly and energetic. I don't know what some of these other people were complaining about but the food was plentiful. We've been to a couple of other local BBQ places and the sandwiches there had half (or less) pulled pork than here. The sides we ordered were really good as well and, BTW, the spicy sauce makes an excellent dip for the onion "thingys".
