Strada Italiano

Went to Strada on 12/02 for my engagement dinner with my (now) husband. Despite the very long line in the cold, the gentleman at the door said we could sit at the bar right away. We were excited that we got in so fast bc we thought we were going to have to eat elsewhere. David was our mixologist/server and he was awesome! We’ve never had such an attentive, caring, cool server before. He was professional, funny and asked if we had allergies before ordering. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were sips of art. I don’t usually write reviews but this place (and David!) need to be recognized. Highly recommend :)

Being Italian I’m generally skeptical of eating out at Italian restaurants but fortunately had a very positive experience at Strada. Starting with the calamari which was great! For entrees: The Tuscan duck and fig and short rib bolognese were both very delicious. Enjoyed the Aperol Spritz and Buttercup cocktails very much. We were extremely lucky to get a last minute seating for two at 6pm with no reservation, right at the window which we loved. The pace, timing of food delivery was just right. Our waitress was lovely. I happen to mention it was my daughter’s birthday and she surprised her with a “birthday cannoli” including a candle. So cute !!

I had a party of 3 and walked in off the street. Was seated on the heated rooftop dining area. The lighting was dim, but it was a pleasant atmosphere. It a was clean and service was great. The food. Was. Amazing. I had the lasagna, and it was a perfect amalgamation of flavor. No flavor was overpowering and the portion was filling. Excellent place to dine.

I enjoyed our waiter. She was awesome for helping sort through an awesome menu. It was our first time, and we enjoyed recommendations 😊 the food was great except for the tiramisu, which lacked moisture since it was too dry. The pasta was delicious, the marinara dip yummy, and the pizza was pleasing. Did not take pics of the salad, bread, and onion soup, but it was nice.

My partner and I visited tonight for a little date night for my birthday. Everything was amazing! Jessica was friendly and attentive, and our food was quick to table and absolutely delicious! The rooftop patio is beautiful and intimate. I am so happy with my experience, and we will be visiting again on our next trip!

Strada Italiano is an excellent choice for Italian food in downtown Asheville! Every time I have dined here I have enjoyed a scrumptious, filling meal with a lovely ambience and attentive staff. I dined for my birthday this last week & our waiter Will was attentive including helping relay our request to the bartender for a mocktail that would pair well with their short rib bolognese. The mocktail was incredible and made my delicious meal even more tasty! The cherry on top is how attentive Strada is with food allergies. Being unable to eat gluten, including cross contamination, I love that I can eat here knowing that my allergy is being taken seriously! Thank you so much to the entire staff and my regards to the chef & bartender for their decadent creations!
