Great food, great service, slightly weird feels. We visited this place due to the intriguing appetizers (with good vegetarian options), hours, menu selection, and drink menu. Walking in the door it was difficult to tell where the resturant was. If you're a 1st timer lime we were, dont go upstairs on the right, go in the door on the left. We were greeted by a waitress, served water by a busboy, and then waited on by Keith. Keith did a great job in explaining the menu options and was attentive and prompt to our needs. Keith made us feel welcome and was tipped accordingly. He reccomended the Brussel sprouts appetizer and they were excellent in flavor and portion size. We also had perfectly medium & medium-well burgers and a salmon po-boy. Its hard for me to truly enjoy a burger thats not flame-broiled, but these burgers tasted great anyway. The only complaint I have is the lack of diversity in the wall pics. They decor is nice and feels nostalgic. ...and I believe pics are of founder and family. If they are looking to satisfy only a particular demographic, then the images certainly reflect that. I would just ask for at least one image of diverse customers enjoying this high-quality food. I will certainly be back to try other items.

I’m a JB regular. Consistent, exceptional service with the quality to match, both from the kitchen and the bar. I’m excited to see some “old school” items returning to the menu, but would love to see the Chicken Poppers and Steak Bites come back as well. Would also love to see a good chicken entree. Never a complaint about what I have — just a longing for something different. I’m here at least four times a week and am never disappointed. Robyn, Ash, Troy, and the rest of the crew always make me feel at home. Some of the best Ann Arbor has to offer.

We had the best experience from the moment I called the owner requesting to change my reservation of 2 to 12!! He was very gracious and immediately helped me get a spot. We were having “moms night” with our sons that go to UofM! Our waiter Will was awesome and several other employees stepped in and made our time seamless! The food was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our specialty cocktails and really loved the ambiance. It was an absolutely perfect night and Jim Brady’s set the tone! Thank you!

Somewhat disappointed.. I was researching restaurants to take my husband to for his birthday and I came across this one. I checked out the menu for the Ann Arbor location on the website and I decided on choosing this restaurant because of the appetizers. Specifically, the pork belly poutine, masa fries, and the chicken and waffles. We arrived at 5:30 for our reservation and walked to the hostess stand. I let the hostess know that I had a reservation and stated my name, she said nothing. Luckily next to the hostess appeared to be the manager, and after a few seconds of awkward silence he asked how we were. The hostess then took us to our table and when we arrived there was quite a few crumbs on the table. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t wiped off yet because there were quite a bit of crumbs. Our table was located by the front window in the corner, the hostess stood directly in front of the table blocking the walking path for my husband to get to the other side to sit down. We stood awkwardly for a few moments before my husband politely excused himself so he could get passed her to sit down. After he sat, she then handed us 1 menu and said our waitress would be with us soon. I believe she might have been new and in training, but not a great start to our evening. Then looking at the 1 menu we were given to share, I was really sad to see that none of the appetizers I was looking forward to were on the menu. On a positive note our waitress was friendly and our food was good.
