Traveling back home to California. We've been seeing Cracker Barrel restaurants and wanted to try it out. So glad we did! We walked in and were immediately seated. The food came out quick and was delicious. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. I had no idea they also had a gift shop! The items were amazing and decent priced. I will definitely return to a Cracker Barrel location in the future. ☺

Our server Kathy is very friendly and took care of our table..also the manager came by to check on tables she was visiting everywhere. Really nice service. Thg he chicken and dumplings were great with a side of greens. One of my favs peach tea.
Being a service member i really appreciated the military service table..

This was on a Saturday so the special for the day was 2 country fried pork chops. The breading was nice and crunchy, pork chops were definitely juicy, tender and very flavourful. Fried okra had a nice breading to it and was cooked perfectly, it was crunchy and tender. Mashed potatoes tasted like mashed potatoes should. The best thing and what we get the most are the fried apples. Everytime we come here we always get them as a side. The apples are always cooked perfectly. Very flavorful with cinnamon and sugar. Oh and let's not forget the corn muffins. Definitely another must have for us. Staff was very friendly and we had a great experience. We also had to buy the corn muffin mix and a jar of fried apples before we left.

We like the food, atmosphere, and all the antiques on the walks.
But the last two times we've been there the quality of food, and customer service are declining.
My wife ordered chicken fried steak.
And she got chicken fried chicken instead. Plus we got there and business was slow, but it still took 35 minutes to get our food, and it was the wrong food.
We didn't have time for them to cook another meal. We had arrangements to be somewhere.
The time before that, I ordered meat loaf, and it wasn't cooked thoroughly.
Hopefully the Alma Cracker Barrel gets this worked out.

This is one of the few places we can eat close to home & it's the only reason we visit as often as we do. Food is generally decent (unless you order it to go), but the service here is horrid. I have had 1 good server the past 10 visits. They usually make you sit there for 10 minutes before they greet you so you can order everything at once. Once they bring drinks you won't see them again until they drop the food off. Once the food is down they usually don't come back to the table until you're finished eating. Need a refill? Too bad. Something missing with your order? Better get up and find someone! It happens so consistently that I'm starting to believe this is just how they train their staff to treat their tables.

Great shop and restaurant! Always a welcome stop on the road and the family cooking taste outstanding! Loved the fruit tea. Sweet but not overwhelming. Loved the chicken fried chicken with gravy. Very yummy!

It has been 8 years since able to get to a store N. Ca. doesn't have it. I'm from south and they are everywhere. So glad I can eat my southern food. 😋 The food is awesome. The wait staff are so courteous and always looking out for customers. Thanks for dinner. I'm so glad to moving back to the south east.
