Buzz

After stopping nearby for coffee, we took a stop over to the shop to see what there was to try. Quite a varied selection of pastries and baked goods. I exercised some restraint and had the 9:30 cupcake and a slice of the French silk pie. Cupcake: WOW! Rich, dark chocolate cake, perfect ganache topping and the interior cream was so good. The textures were all spot on and it wasn't overly sweet. The pie was also just what I was hoping for. The whipped topping is every-so-slightly sweetened, but it's light flavor balances the right chocolate filling. Chocolate crust was so good I wish I had more.

My project team ordered me cupcakes for my birthday. Since were in Alexandria we try to figure out what the best place for cupcakes in this area is. We ended up ordering buzz bakeshop. My team and I were not disappointed with these cupcakes. The icing was rich and the cake was moist. Definitely a solid combo between the two. If you’re ever in old town Alexandria you got try this place.

I drive by here often when visiting friends in Alexandria and have always wanted to try it. I stopped by here last week to pick up half a dozen cupcakes for one of my best friends' birthdays and it was such a wonderful experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful when I wasn't sure what I wanted to get. They have a nice variety of cupcake flavors and it was hard to just choose 6. I didn't get to taste them but my friend said they were delicious. I would recommend Buzz based on the great customer service alone! There's also a really convenient parking lot behind this little square that made the experience even less stressful

- cupcakes and cookies were fresh, had good flavor, and looked very nice. - prices not normal for the area. - parking for the area is hit or miss depending on the day. - staff were friendly. - service was quick. - place was clean and organized. - overall a good first experience, I'd recommend this location.
