Bbq One

One of those basic Chinese hawker style food joints, when you feel like a little more quantity instead of quality. Their crispy roast pork and bbq pork that they have hanging on display are quite good. Roast duck is super salty, but tastes good. Soy chicken can be bit dry depending on which cut you get.. The deep fried chicken with 'mushroom' sauce was super surprising as I've never seen such a white mushroom sauce with no mushrooms in it.. Egg noodles sauce was good. Beef brisket noodles were not bad.

BBQ City is a Gouger Street institution. It has been around forever because it serves good food, all the time and is great value. The serves are generous and the prices are great. The menu is huge - there is definitely something for everyone on here but you can't go past the roast meat hanging in the window - duck, pork, chicken. Yum.

Classic Hongkong style all day eatery, we ordered the combination roast on rice, beef brisket on rice and stir fry rice noodle for the first time. All were yummy and good size. In the end we also got chicken fee takeaway- good for drinks. Came here again for dinner while we were still in Adelaide. They were quite busy for the dinner, which was nice to see.

We saw this place when we walked through Chinatown one night. It was very busy and there was even a line for dinner! We decided to come back one day to try it out. We went for lunch just after the lunch rush. We ordered the roast pork and roast duck on rice. The roast pork was the best roast pork I have ever had! I would definitely come back again! It was meaty with the right amount of fat. The crackling was amazing! It was crunchy and tasty! If you are looking for some good Chinese BBQ you can't go wrong with BBQ City.

Cheap and fast, but waiters really impolite. If you just want the food, and not care much about the environment that’s recommended. Ordered 3 meats combo with rice, really good size . Tastes ok not wow. Fried eggplant, oil lover would love it. Tastes good not friendly if you want to control weight.

Service was good despite being busy but some of the food was sub-par. Fried rice was tasty, the sweet and sour pork was plentiful but more of a food court quality instead of restaurant, and unfortunately the satay beef was terrible!! The beef tasted old and chewy and the accompanying sauce was really watered down and not good at all. I was disappointed. We were also given a wrong main dish and then had to wait again for the correct one. Appreciate the waitress for noticing her colleague's error straight away though.
