Pleasant and comfortable in this branch on Union St. The flat white was creamy but lacking in Crema. Staff smiled but only when taking the orders. Tables needed clearing and cleaning.

The coffee is still great but the atmosphere is really lacking compared to the Market Street store that Nero closed. Not enough comfy seats and too dark/dingy.

I'll never understand Cafe Nero's way of ordering, with the barista doing everything rather than having different roles like most other coffee shops. It takes ages to be served, coffee is fine. They do charge for plant milk (except soy) and didn't have any vegan croissants or flapjacks left.
