The place is located in Galeria Mall in Al Wasl.<br/>It's a quite big place in the corner, they sell as well italian products. You can see how they prepare the pizzas and the pastas.<br/>We tried different pizza, all were really good, and we had pasta, was very tasty too and perfectly al dente.<br/>They have a selection of italian starters and nice dessert. Nice place for carbs craving day!<br/>Don't expect fine dining!

For a restaurant boasting of Michelin credentials, everything coming out of that pristine beautiful kitchen better be top notch. Else it's a let down. And that's what it turned out. The ravioli scores, the lasagna is nice, the pizza didn't cut it. literally. Not justified.

Very disappointing! For a Michelin start chef to put his name to a casual dining experience I would be surprised if he is happy with the outcome! <br/>We were first taken to a table then told reserved then told no it wasn't. We then went to order and the first three starters I asked for all were not available so went for my 4th of 6th choices and then got most of it... it should of been bruschetta but no bread! Too tired and disappointed to return this option I ate. My husband' ravioli although came on time small portion not full of flavour. <br/>Service worse than the food but definitely will not be returning.<br/>PS customers on our table next to us also tried to order other items and also then told not available! <br/>Sad ☹️

Trooped all the way from Al Ain, we visited this branch in Al Safa armed with a voucher (thanks airmiles) and empty stomachs. Prebooked a table for 3.5 pax via zomato, we were welcomed by the usherette as if she knew who were exactly. We ordered the ragu, ravioli, pasta for the kid and the marinara. Extra magherita with salami to complete the feast. No complaints really about fresh pastas, all were al dente and flavourful. The pizza was divine! The negatives we experienced was the presence of a fly (no tea candles were available) and the whole place was a bit hot bordering to being uncomfortable. One more thing, no mozzarella. Yes no mozarella in an italian restaurant (in our visit for that matter). Hope they do something about the flies, candles (they used bday candles btw) and airconditioning. All in all good dining experience with a bit of extra pasta shopping if desired. Yes please, stack up on mozarella.

This is a very interesting looking Italian eatery similar to some others in town that combine perimeter open kitchens and deli counters, market stalls in the middle selling food products, and the seating area amongst the two. It's attractive and I'd had my eye on it since the kids started their wall / rock climbing passion at Adventure HQ in the same mall. So we did dinner ladt Sunday. <br/><br/>The fact that this large restaurant was empty on every visit of ours, in a busy small mall is odd. But not off-putting for me. What I found positively irritating was the lack of attention and service . Especially when the restaurant is near empty. On our arrival there was only one other 2 seat table occupied. And we were a party of five. After placing our initial order, we were well forgotten. <br/><br/>We ordered pizza. From the menu. And from the rectangular by-the-slice pizzas in the deli counter. The menu pizza was a lovely saucy cheesy very thin crust Italian pizza, and quite delightful. The deceitfully attractive by slice deli counter pizza was a disappointing.. too dry and too crusty. <br/><br/>We ordered a lasagne which was excellent. Rich sauce and cheesy. We also ordered panzerotti (closed deep fried pizza pockets) served with a rich herby tomato dipping sauce. That was a hit and we ordered a second. I was leaning towards the tenderloin but ended up ordering the pesto linguine with green beans. It looked lovely, all a vibrant green color, but alas was greatly lacking in flavor. I was hoping for that rich herby pesto flavor but was disappointed that it fell short of even mediocre. <br/><br/>All in all, nice place, decent food, greatly lacking attentive service.

We opted for the lunch menu. The host was extremely friendly and our waiter was attentive and well informed about the menu. It's a nice restaurant with an open kitchen and lots of goodies on shelves for sale as well as picnic baskets.<br/>We shared the calamari and a salad. Huge portions but we still had space for the delicious lasagne and mushroom pizza. We topped it up with the best gelato pistachio and hazelnut mix and an excellent creamy cappuccino.<br/>

While on my way to box park i spotted the word taste of Italy and took a turn to check this restaurant out instead. It's so refreshing and so beautifully made. I had equal urge to check out the restaurant next door called slider station i guess which also looked very good welcoming but i stuck to my original plan. We were welcomed with delicious bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar which i would i have liked better had there been some butter or had the bread been toasted well to be actually enjoyed as a starter. Ordered mixed green salad with avocados and it was delicious. Also ordered the lasagna alla bolognese which was superb and really exceeded my expectations as i had been hunting for a good lasagna since long. All in all great neat n tidy dining experience n i shall be going there again to eat the same lasagna for sure.

I wanted to visit this place for a long time and when I finally did was very disappointed. <br/><br/>Let me start from good points. In general place looks good, very cosy and friendly atmosphere. The service is fast. Besides dine in you can also buy home different kinds of pasta, sauces, cheese, cold cuts and desserts.<br/><br/>The disappointment comes when food arrives. Everything was looking so amazing that you wanted to eat it asap. The starter was ok, we ordered salmone carpaccio, but it was too many tomatoes and it seemed that you eat just them, but still it was average. Main course was really terrible, we ordered risotto and breaded lamb chops. Risotto was totally undercooked, it was not even close to al dente, just raw. Lamb chops were so greasy so we removed all the bread cover for at least to try them and they were overcooked. We ate what we had because we were very hungry and couldn't wait more( for risotto required 20 min) and left the place totally not satisfied. The only taste food that we had on the table was bread. <br/><br/>I don't know what happened to that place. I read so many good reviews about it. Maybe it was too busy or maybe we should go just for pizza and pasta, but actually I don't have any wish to return there again.

We had spaghetti with tomato sauce, ravioli, signature Cesar salad and some grilled veggies. The pasta and ravioli were really good. Then we had selection of desserts which were ok, I had higher expectations from a Michelin starred chef. <br/>So it's a right place to have good pasta with 5star service (the service was really outstanding).

The best place to eat Italian food outside Italy has to be Dubai and one such place in Dubai is Taste of Italy by Heinz Beck. Headed by chef Federico, under the guidance of Heinz Beck himself, this place really brings the flavours of Italy to Dubai. And we started this amazing food journey with fresh homemade bread which was nothing less than art, in favours like walnuts, olives, multi grain accompanied with Italian olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

On a Thursday night, we happened to turn up and ask if we could get a table. They were running a Seafood night. They were able to accommodate us on an unlimited buffet deal which was well prepared but the only problem was that they ran out of food. Since it was only about 9 pm, we couldn't understand why they didn't mention it before taking our booking. <br/><br/>I tried to ring up to have a conversation with the manager but after about 10 minutes of being on hold waiting for him to come to the phone, I gave up. <br/><br/>Good food. Bad management!

I could go on for few pages, and I did with the helpless Venue Manager last night, but I'd prefer to simplify:<br/> <br/>Payment upon arrival (should have grasped from the beginning what was coming), good food (until they ran out of it - it was an unlimited pasta and seafood night and they ran out of half of it), non-existing service and poor management. Nobody could really tell us what was included in this packaged event.<br/> <br/>Despite my open feedback midway and at the of the dinner, manager admitted fault, did not offer any sort of compensation (we never asked) and insisted that on regular a-la-carte service the experience is much better. He seriously insisted multiple times that we should come over again on a "quieter day".<br/> <br/>I clearly explained him that the lower price (150dhs per pax) does not justify a poor experience and running out of food at 9.35pm. We are still in Dubai, no shortcuts are allowed.<br/> <br/>Chef Heinz Beck should read this review and personally inspect such events, surely not giving credit to an individual devoting his entire life to gracious and unobtrusive service, spot on food, honest dining experiences and, overall, professionalism throughout.<br/> <br/>As I said: one should not bite more than he can chew.

Didn't get the chance to try their cuisine in proper to be honest due to a sudden emergency but while dining in we called for mozzarella starters which was stuffed with cheese fried pockets. Their salad wasn't that great. We were served with bread and olive dips as a welcoming gesture. The bread was quite moist and freshly baked with various olives. I've heard their desserts are to look out for. Probably would give it a chance next time but seemed a decent place.

Good Italian food makes me go weak on my knees just like Taste of Italy did. Taste of Italy by Heinz Beck is the celebrity chef’s first casual restaurant concept serving the UAE some amazingly delicious home made Italian food with the finest ingredients imported from Italy. Now what more can one ask for.<br/><br/>The place is located at Galleria mall on Al Wasl road with a huge seating area and also has a lot of cooking ingredients from Italy for sale as well, from Olive oils to Pesto sauces and a lot more.<br/><br/>We were seated, greeted and handed over the menu by the friendly staff whom seemed extremely busy though. The place seemed quiet popular as it was busy even on a working day. <br/><br/>We started the meal with a Tartare Di Salmone. This was fine chopped salmon fillet, chopped tomatoes and avocado served with fresh herbs and home made balsamic dressing. Tiny fresh pieces of Salmon with avocado melting in the mouth. It sure was a great start. <br/><br/>For the Salad the chef suggested the Tonno Con I Cereali, marinated tuna served with lentil and barley salad. I have never had something like this in the past. It was so fresh and full of flavour. This is a must try when here. Unique and extremely authentic. <br/><br/>We then fried the Calamari e Zucchini Fritte, this was fried calamari and zucchini with green tomato jam and mayonnaise. It was deep fried yet so light, crunchy and delicious. <br/><br/>How can one go to an Italian restaurant and not try their Burrata! Omg this was sure one of the best part of the meal. I could be a bit biased but then I love burrata. This one came with some carrots, zucchini, asparagus seasoned with balsamic vinegar. <br/><br/>For the main course we were suggested the Linguine Al Pesto Genovese, the Tortellini Di Melanzane Con Pomodoro E Olio Al Basilico and a Pizza Rosse (the Gamberi, Avocado E Rucola) <br/><br/>The fresh tortilla pasta stuffed with aubergine served with tomato salsa and basil oil stole my heart. It was sure one of the best I have had in a while. It was just so light and we ate the entire portion really quick. This is again a must have when here. <br/><br/>The Pizza surprised me again. Avocado and shrimps, what a great combination. I just couldn't get enough of this one either. <br/><br/>How does one ever miss desserts when at an Italian restaurant! We tried the Tiramisu and the Yogurt Al Frutti Rossi Con Gelato. The Tiramisu was presented in such a unique and amazing manner. we were told it was a classic deconstructed one. It is Chef Heinz Beck's signature. It sure was a signature dessert. The Gelato was great too, the presentation itself was just so great. <br/><br/>A big shout out to the Head Chef Federico for the amazing hospitality and suggesting the best from the menu. This place is clearly one of the best restaurants serving Italian food in the city.

Visited on a weekday for dinner with the family. We had a seat and ordered: <br/><br/>Burrata cheese, chicken ravioli, risotto, penne in pesto and for dessert we did the deconstructed tiramisu. <br/><br/>The burrata was excellent and not extremely heavy. The chicken ravioli was flavourful with its spinach and cream sauce but was a tad bit over cooked. The risotto was made to perfection (vegetarian) and the penne pesto was not bad but could have had more flavour. We asked them to remove the non vegetarian ingredients from it as my family is vegetarian but they said they would charge for any additional vegetables which I found odd. <br/><br/>The dessert (tiramisu) was delicious with its coffee but it didn't really taste like tiramisu. That specific flavour was missing but it tasted good nonetheless. <br/><br/>

( it's just bread, olive oil n balsamic) <br/>loved their freshly made pasta..fairly small portions, good if it was a dinner choice. <br/> We tried they tortellini filled with chicken and beef along with tomato sauce. The sauce was pretty tasty but not the filling.. it was just odd. <br/><br/>The ravioli was filled with spinach paste, topped with white sauce n mushroom. <br/>It might would have been even bette if it was spinach with cheese... yet, it was better than the first dish. <br/><br/>The waitress seemed to be confused, we tried to rely on her experience or what she would recommend as a delicious option or more ordered dish. She was kinda hesitated and a bit confused. <br/><br/>All in all, I would recommend the place for dinner and friends gatherings.<br/><br/>

Price are quite decent for the quality and standard of this place. <br/><br/>Portions are tiny yes... but it is a fine dining sorta place... its about quality not quantity. <br/><br/>They dont serve alcohol but honestly that does not matter. I think its a very good authentic Italian fine dining restaurant. They have quality ingredients. <br/><br/>We sampled their bruschettas, gorgonzola pasta and eggplant tomato pasta. The tiramisu is to die for.<br/><br/>To be honest its a very good place at decent prices for the kind of quality food and service.<br/><br/>They have some delicatessen and oils for sale as well. Would be tempted to buy on my next visit.<br/><br/>Would definitely recommend for dates or family occasions. Must try! If you know your Italian food and the kinda cliches place you find in Dubai....comparatively... you will not be disappointed by this place.

One of the best Italian places I have been so far around the world. The food is Italian with a twist. Loved the calamari with zucchini and the seafood aglio. You could buy the best ingredients off the shelf. Located conveniently at Al Safa with ample parking space in the basement as well. The must try dessert is definitely the Heinz Beck special Tiramisu and the ginger ice-cream with mango. The chef has been awarded Michelin Star for a reason!!

The food is exceptionally small its almost a joke! Its really really not worth it by any means! The taste is fine (good but definitely doesnt compensate for the ridiculously small portions). Desert is even worse, we ordered a tiramisu and it was something unbelievable, the word "tiny" doesnt do it justice. Certainly not a place to go to if you are hungry and expecting to eat, or craving desert and expecting to eat. These are just samplers. Those tiny samplers are served in large plats which probably is a joke or something. I wouldnt recommend this smug place under any circumstances l.<br/>

We went to Taste of Italy during the event of Italian diaries. They served different sandwiches, pastries, appetizers and main dishes. We tried different stuff of food and everything was delicious. Moreover, the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly

It's the first time I had booked a table through Zomato and was impressed with the efficiency with SMS alerts and follow up calls to confirm the reservation including checking the occasion and organizing a complimentary special dessert for our anniversary. Makes more sense to book it through them rather than the outlet directly.<br/><br/>The outlet is spacious and breezy with racks selling their products separating the tables. The glass cased open kitchen allows the diner to watch the chefs in action.<br/>What makes the outlet stand out is the quality of ingredients used in the preparation of dishes. While all the dishes were good, they couldn't be classified as outstanding. Somehow with the hype surrounding the brand name and image the expectations were sky high which didn't match up.<br/>Service is efficient but impersonal. The starter of bruschetta stood out in the entire meal while the pasta in cheese sauce and margarita pizza were good.<br/>Pricing is the regular Jumeirah standard; the place is worth a visit.<br/>

I’ve always dreamt of eating a meal especially prepared by a Michelin-starred chef. I’ve seen the movie Burnt and watched a few episodes of Masterchef and since then I just can’t stop thinking what it must feel like to actually eat something prepared by one. I’m sure you were also curious about it but of course not all of us can afford it every time. Thankfully, I have discovered Taste of Italy by Heinz Beck, a casual gourmet restaurant but with fine dining quality and feel. The restaurant is prominently located at ground floor of the Galleria Mall, a small shopping area in Al Wasl road and the man behind the restaurant is Chef Heinz Beck.

I am sure everyone knows how deeply I am in love with Burrata cheese. If you didn’t know that already, now you do. So when I received an invitation to attend a Burrata & Friends night at the Michelin starred chef Heinz Beck’s Taste of Italy, there was no way I could refuse. This event, held on Thursday, Dec 15th in the restaurant in Galleria Mall, was undoubtedly, the cheesiest night in town. By cheesy I mean, it involved sampling some of the freshest Burrata and mozzarella along with a selection of different gourmand cheese.

They say everything great and beautiful in life is simple - Exactly how I feel about Taste of Italy. Heinz Beck is one hell of a chef and I truely respect his ideas of cooking by keeping it simple yet wonderfully tasteful.<br/><br/>The staff is beyond hospitable and really go out of the way to explain the story behind each dish which is truely amazing. The chef at Taste of Italy was kind enough to show us and explain how he prepared the quinoa salad, the pasta. 90% of the ingreidients from Taste of Italy are imported from Italy which is quite evident in the taste. The bruschettas are unlike anything I have tried. The flavors really stood out and it's because they only use fresh produce. Do try their pastas - no usage of cream, milk or butter which is pretty kickass. For dessert - the deconstructed tiramisu should not be missed. Their take on tiramisu and innovation around it is brilliant

Stopped by the place for an afternoon cup of tea/lemonade and deserts after lunch at BOXPARK.<br/><br/>This is a great location with plenty of parking next to it. The place is nicely decorated and large enough for dinning and shopping for some specialty Italian items.<br/><br/>This place should not be confused with EATALLY at Dubai Mall like I did although it is a very similar concept minus the rush and noise of the Dubai Mall.<br/><br/>I'm coming back for some real lunch as everything looked good on the menu, tables, and kitchen.

We chanced upon the place as a group and everyone decided this food court style Italian place would have a dish to meet everyone's taste. (And we were right.) We didn't even know who Heinz Beck was until later (much later in the week after the dinner).<br/><br/>I enjoyed my burrata and pizza dish (I ordered the margherita and added artichokes) and everyone else enjoyed their orders. The group also enjoyed the cheese platter and their desserts. <br/><br/>Would I go again? Not really. Italian cuisine is not really the first choice of cuisine that I'd like to have. But if it's yours, try it out.

We went to this place in Galleria mall to satisfy our sweet tooth cravings. We ordered a Mille Feuille and a white chocolate cannoli with red berries. <br/><br/>The dishes were average . As the white chocolate cannoli just turned out be a finer version with thin white chocolate tube filled with raspberry ice cream. Rather than the pastry version we were looking out for, now don't get me wrong the dish could have perfect in a different day and mood. But we were looking for a carb filled creamy sweet cannoli while the version we had was very tart with all the berries. As i said not a bad dish, we just mis understood the dish and then didn't enjoy it at all. <br/><br/>Mille Feuille was good and tasty. Something we were looking for. And more along the lines of what we wanted and we did enjoy it. <br/><br/>I won't say we liked it enough to come back but the jury is out on that.

Taste of Italy by Heinz Beck. A Michelin Star Chef I was told when we were confirming our table for dinner on Thursday. This restaurant / retail store is located in The Galleria Mall in Jumeriah. The Mall is small and niche and has some good F&B places to dine and I most likely will be trying a few more options in this Mall. Luckily it was not as busy here at Taste of Italy and we got a reservation for 6. The place is a very similar resemblance to the option we have in Dubai Mall (Eataly) where one can dine seated amongst various food options that one can purchase at will which they would want to try. I am sure they are lovely as they have been carefully been prepared with the knowledge of the chef. The space allotted to them is rather good and they have made very good use of the space. As soon as you enter, you would see carts, tables and stands filled with different ingredients, wet and dry. The walls are broken down into sections and they have an assortment of cold cuts, fresh cheese, desserts, sections to make mains like pasta, pizza and the likes. They have a Gelato Section on the outside as well.<br/><br/>We were a group of 6 and took a seat inside amongst the different sections. They are cordoned off well and you would not have more than 4 to 5 tables in 1 section, so it gives you a feel that the area has been divided. The order was straightforward. Pizza's and Pastas were the mainstay and orders as well. The rather surprising bit is that their menu selection is not run of the mill like other Italian cuisines and hence it is good and tough at the same time as one would expect chicken pizza which is not available here and some options of chicken in pizza which was not available apart from Chicken in Ravioli. The order was placed and it was 2 Capricciosa Pizza, 1 Ravioli Del Cortile, Funghi E Fonduta Di Grana Padano (Chicken Ravioli in mushroom sauce), 1 Onion Pizza, 1 Tagliolini Al Frutti Di Marre (Seafood Pasta), 1 Polpettine fritte di Melanzane e Mante (Deep Fried Eggplant and Mint Balls in spicy Tomato Sauce). As we waited for the mains, we were served breads in a basket and olive oil. The olive oil did taste good and was very light. Something you don't mind nibbling more on.<br/><br/>The order does not take much time to arrive adding to the fact that there were only 1 other table that was being served mains along with us. I have forgotten the name of our server, he was a Filipino and he was one of the best servers I have come across. He had in-depth knowledge of all the items on the menu and explained to us on what we were to expect when our dishes arrived. I must say, he was spot on and sometimes you feel delighted that there are a few out there who know what they are doing and have in-depth knowledge and take pride in their work. Apologies to have forgotten his name, I should have taken it, but not to take anything away from him, he was good. The pizza came as flat bread and we were informed much in advance. The bread / base of the pizza was a little too thick for my taste. It kind of over powered the entire taste of the pizza. The olives and the cheese on the pizza are good and add the extra flavor in the pizza. The artichoke and egg also add another flavor in the pizza. I had a taste of the Chicken Mushroom Ravioli. This was the best dish presented to us. The ravioli was properly cooked and the mushroom and the sauce in terms of flavor was superb. The flavors that came from the sauce just elevated the entire dish. The portion however was a little less for one person. I feel they should add a little more to the plate. The Onion Pizza was something I wanted to try as this was another pizza which we had ordered and was a pizza that was prepared without tomato sauce / pizza sauce. The flavors are very strong with the onion and is advisable for people who like the added flavor of onion. Not everyone can finish the entire pizza if ordered on their own. The other dishes were good as I was told, didn’t get a chance to try them all.<br/><br/>The place is good and the service is good as well. It gives you a feel of a restaurant which serves great food. The prices are slightly steep and the portions are just a little small. Overall a good place to dine if you are looking for Italian and are not heading to Dubai Mall. A good alternate for people located in and around Safa / Jumeriah.

When someone suggests Italian for a meal I'm almost never excited. However I went with an open mind (even though I knew the restaurant was in an market style ambience - another put off for me) , since Taste of Italy has a Michelin star chef's name attached to it, to see what difference that would make.<br/><br/>I was pleasantly surprised. While our order wasn't adventurous with a sea bass, the gnocchi, salad, pesto pasta and burratas . Everything was flavourful, and one appreciated the familiar Italian ingredients cooked the closest to perfection as one has ever experienced. <br/><br/>The staff could have been more knowledgable and helpful but I won't hold that against the experience. <br/><br/>My prejudice against Italian may be just a hard habit to break , so I'm still not a convert and won't go there back of my own choice, but I certainly won't cringe if I have to on someone else's request.

Had the pleasure of sharing lunch with my friends at Taste of Italy. We spent almost 3 hours enjoying our meal and the lovely atmosphere. The wait staff were great and very accommodating. The meals were fresh and light, we shared salads for starter and I had a delicious salmon dish for main. My friend, who is gluten intolerant was very well looked after with gluten free pasta, which she said tasted like real pasta (she's Italian). The remaining uncooked pasta from the gluten free pack was given to us to take home, at no extra charge. Brilliant! Oh and the gelato we had for desert was lovely too. It's a great spot for lunch and has some gorgeous authentic Italian products to purchase. Thank you for a lovely time. This place is highly recommended.

And in case your living under a culinary rock, Chef Heinz Beck is a world-renowned, 3-star Michelin Chef! Chef Heinz Beck to the Culinary Industry is equivalent to Stephen Hawking to the Physics Industry. Yes, he is of that high-ranking. So, needless to say, it was an absolute honor to meet him!<br/><br/>Putting that starstruck experience aside, the restaurant is beautiful. Very green and organic. Surrounded by trees and wood, makes you feel like you're out at a picnic!<br/><br/>Just like most michelin chefs do, he presented the food in small plates, small bites to try everything from steak, tuna fish, pasta and a few vegetarian options as well. The food was good. Honestly, it wasn't amazing, but I did enjoy it. I enjoyed the desserts as well, they served a tiramisu, which was good, but what stood out to me the most was the grill-flavored fruits! It was different, and you know me and different, I loved it! The kick of the garlic mixed with the sweetness of the fresh fruits was a match made in heaven!<br/><br/>The drinks were also amazing! They were fresh juices but mixed with something amazing. Not sure what the secret ingredient is, but it just made me obsessed! And they're not alcoholic, in case you think that's what the secret ingredient is! LOL<br/><br/>Overall, a lovely place for a casual meal with family or friends. I look forward to coming back and trying their full-menu options, rather than the small plates.

An unplanned visit, and hungry diners with no patience to wait, we sat down at Taste of Italy immediately. The ambience is nice, very "supermarket-ish", the concepts of Italian restaurants these days.<br/><br/>Food:<br/><br/>Complimentary Bread - baked in house, the walnut one was nice.<br/><br/>Mozzarella Carrozza - sandwiched mozzarella slices deep fried, was good, but better with the Marinara sauce <br/><br/>Panzerroti Mozzarella - different, like an empanada, not super flavourful, but good. <br/><br/>Bruschetta - good ingredients make this better<br/><br/>Pizza Capricciosa - with no egg, excellent, slightly burnt crust, very good<br/><br/>Tortellini Melanzane - eggplant mini tortellinis, with a very thin sauce. If you love eggplant, you can taste the smokiness of it. I would've preferred a thicker sauce. <br/><br/>Twisted pasta in tomato sauce - very well done, but missed the veggies and of course they won't make any changes <br/><br/>Ravioli de cortile - the only Non vegetarian dish on the table, chicken stuffed ravioli, apparently was wonderful. <br/><br/>Gelato - Nutella and a separate Hazelnut were nice<br/><br/>Dark Chocolate fondant - very nice again.<br/><br/>Price - with a grilled vegetable salad, we paid about 95Dhs per head and with an Enbd card 20% discount made it a bit more reasonable. <br/><br/>The ingredients used are of superior quality, service and staff impeccable, hence the price tag. I would come back and stop by in a bit to try out their other pizzas. <br/><br/><br/><br/>

If you are looking for a light Italian cuisine then Taste of Italy is the place to go. It isn't anything like proper Italian food. However, the food is "Okay", not really my favorite.<br/><br/>The atmosphere is nice. I like the interior and how it sells bread, pasta, chocolate and baked goods. It gives you a vibe of an Italian bakery.<br/><br/>The food was okay. Their best dishes consist of pizza and pasta. The dough is what makes it good.<br/>The dessert took the crown. Love the concept of a marketplace and being able to buy fresh pasta and have them cook it for you according to your liking. Generous portions of Italian food in an airy open design, part of which has shelves with italian food products available for purchase. There are separate counters for pizzas, pastas, desserts etc. We visited for lunch and opted for the easy on pocket business lunch. The service was slow and we had to constantly call to remind them. One of us was served 20mins before the other. The pizza came out full of leaves only (they were stingy with the mushrooms) and burnt on the underside which left a bitter after taste. The pasta and bruschetta were quite tasty. I am incline to give it another try because it carries the name of Heinz Beck.

Helpful hint from your favorite local Dubai blogger: there is not a lot open for lunch at 12 PM in Dubai. See, I had a whole plan of leaving the city so we would arrive at Banyan Tree somewhere around 2 PM (to — naturally — maximize our time at this heavenly property). Packing up, we managed to get a small errand taken care of in record time. Ready to plug into Google maps, I realized my timing was off and that Coya didn’t open until 12:30. Bummer. At 11:30 and having had no breakfast, we needed to find a closer option. Hypoglycemia, be thy name. ‘How about Slider Station?’ Hubs suggested. Awesome! I could go for a burger (esepcially after the killer Flywheel class that morning). We drive to the Galleria and are told (contrary to the Google business listing) that burgers are not served until 1 PM. Darn. A quick lap around the Galleria yields pretty much only Taste of Italy by Heinz Beck.

Fried Calamari and Zucchini is WOW, as well as the Pasta al pesto (one of the best I had in my life, and I'm italian). Came here because Cocoa Room staff were very rude. Was worried about value for money at Taste of Italy but was very surprised with the serving size. Plus the coffee was sensational and easily the best out of any place in this particular mall. <br/><br/>The brioche was amazing and I was expecting something much smaller for the price. The breakfast menu is very Italian but so authentic. And so much better than Home Bakery. <br/><br/>Fantastic service. Will definitely be back again.

Disappointing. <br/><br/>I believe it is the proper Italian food that is served while in Italy which is Great but is not something many people from an Asian background would appreciate. <br/><br/>The food was delayed by 35 mins.<br/><br/>On a positive note, they understood the above and only billed us for a pizza and water which was okay. That was a good gesture in return.

Visited Taste of Italy for one of the last few iftars this Ramadan. Craving some authentic Italian we were all set to order a pasta and a pizza but it didn’t go as planned! Just as we started ordering we were told that their Pizza oven has broken and they aren’t serving pizzas – which is fine – it’s not their fault but they should have had the logic to inform us before we entered! And funnily we even saw the menu at the entrance and had a conversation with the hostess but no mention of the oven! <br/><br/>Once seated we had finished the multi grain bread from the bread basket while waiting for our food so requested for another only to be told they don’t have any! They said they don’t make too much bread during Ramadan. Anyways, we were given another type of bread while we waited. Alright, enough venting, let’s get to the food:<br/><br/>*Tagliolini Ai Frutti Di Mare – This pasta is pretty heavy on the seafood – comes with squid, shrimp, clams and a mussel sauce so make sure you’re a seafood fan before ordering this. Everything was well cooked and perfectly “springy” without being chewy. Enjoyed the fresh Tagliolini. I did find the mussel sauce to have a yolky type of taste and texture but overall everything worked together. <br/>*Ravioli Del Cortile, Funghi E Fonduta Di Grana Padano - The ravioli was delicious, stuffed with minced chicken and topped with spinach and mushrooms. The sauce was good too – I’m not a fan of cheese but the sauce was not overpowering or too cheesy. Good portion size too! Recommended! <br/><br/>Will have to come back for the Pizza!

Second the bread was served after the food came and it was tooo toasted! 3rd the salmon is just tooooo salty! We wanted the bread chocolate, apparently its just the toasted bread with a spoon of Nutella on the side and so she just got the spoon of nutella since we had the break already. So this wasn't enough for a feeding our sweet tooth, so we ordered a brioche..... And there! The ultimate disappointment! A weird triangle shaped dry but buttery cake.. Looks and tastes like anything else than a brioche... Certainly do not recommend this place. Only the waitress was friendly.. Chef Heinz.. Work on ur concept and foood man! Its a disaster!!

Getting a parking in Galleria Mall can be a bit of a challenge specially on the weekend, but we were lucky enough to get one easily. <br/><br/>Ambience wise this place is huge. It even boasts an outdoor seating and the best part about it is that there are lot of italian delicacies from sauces, breads, cheeses etc which you can buy and take home as well. We sat pretty close to the pizzeria section and the aroma of the baked bread just made us want to order some of it immediately. <br/><br/>For starters we went in for the Burrata and for the mains we opted for Mushroom Pizza and Gnocchi. While we were waiting for our order we were served a complimentary bread basket and I simply loved the walnut bread which I had with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Burrata soon came in with a lovely white balsamic vinegar and side salad consisting of asparagus , shaved fennel, carrots and zucchini. Burrata was creamy, milky and soft and it tasted amazing with the white balsamic vinegar. While wandering around the cheese section, I found that one could even take home the burrata at much cheaper price than what was served to us!!!. Soon the mains came in.....a piping hot mushroom pizza topped with rocket leaves and this got devoured in no time and gnocchi. The gnocchi eventhough was fresh lacked in taste and was rather bland. We had to spice it up a bit and bring out the flavours. For desserts we ordered the chocolate profit role based on the high recommendation from the patisserie section and this was just about average.<br/><br/>Food at Taste of Italy is decent and they seem to be in direct competition to Eatly. Going by what we sampled,we felt there was much more this place can offer to Italian food lovers in Dubai.

This was a week full of food and celebrations thanks to my husband's 31st bday. His parents decided to take him out for an Italian treat and they selected Taste of Italy based on their previous experience.<br/><br/>The overall ambiance is very chilled out. We started off with the calamari served with zuchini fries- super great! For our mains, we ordered a mix of pizzas, lasagna, beef steak and spaghetti pasta, while my father in law opted for the salmon. Lasagna was slight let down, while the spaghetti was flavorful. I think the pizzas won the hearts for being simple and truly 'italian'. We had secretly requested for the tiramisu cream cake and that was an absolute burst of flavor- totally recommend! <br/><br/>I was a bit disappointed with the service/attention. We got our menus more than 15 mins of seating on our tables. The food also took a bit of time and came with a delay for some members. <br/><br/>I will come again just to try the pizzas! (And desserts!)

Great business lunch menu at a reasonable price. There were also a variety of vegan options on the menu & they were delicious. Nice ambiance, decor & great food. Will defiantly return, my only criticism would be that there are no V's (for vegetarian) beside the dishes, which are always reassuring!

Visited Taste of Italy on a Thursday night for dinner around 8:45pm. At first the restaurant seemed quite empty which was surprising given that all the other restaurants in the mall had waiting lists.<br/><br/>What drew me to dine here was the fact that it was a casual dining concept of a 5 Michelin Star Chef - that's pretty impressive.<br/><br/>We ordered a Chicken mushroom ravioli and gnocci in tomato sauce for mains. For desserts we ordered the mini chocolate eclair and the tiramisu tart.<br/><br/>Both the mains were well presented and delicious. The portions were perfect and we wiped the plates clean! The white sauce drizzle on the ravioli was delicious and we would have liked a bit more generosity with it as it really tied the dish together.<br/><br/>The gnocchi was light and fluffy - the tomato sauce was delicious and the cheese was perfectly melted. I would have preferred sticking to just the mozarella as I did not quite enjoy the smokey flavor of the other cheese.<br/><br/>The tiramisu tart was a sight for sore eyes wither perfectly piped mascarpone cheese peaks a some glitter sprinkled on it. The tart shell was a crispy light brown on the outside while the tiramisu was moist on the inside - delicious!!<br/><br/>The mini chocolate eclair too was a yummy bite sized treat.<br/><br/>Overall a good experience!

Creamy burrata that just melts in your mouth! The gnocchi was delicious and just the right portion. Also try the lasagna which was good. Tasty food, worth the try.

My favorite Italian restaurant in the country. The pasta is the right thickness, the sauces so delicious and more or less taste perfect. They also serve the best lasagna I ever tasted, ever!<br/>Its of the few restaurants I bother ordering desserts and coffee from because both taste amazing as well.

Simple classic Italian fare in a modern cafe setting. The food is quite good however not exceptional to the degree you would expect from the name-associated. Also the portions were quite meager given the prices. Taste needs to elevate the offering, which is good, to the next level in Dubai's crowded Italian scene.

Went there for a friends birthday dinner. <br/><br/>The ambiance is nice with an option to sit out. The staff were fine. <br/><br/>We ordered ( I don't remember the exact names):<br/>- Veg Pizza - The best dish among what we ordered 3/5<br/>- Pepperoni Pizza - Was okay 2/5<br/>- A chicken dish - Was not that great 2/5 <br/>- Pasta - Was good 3/5<br/><br/>Italian being one of my favorite cuisines was a bit disappointed with the taste or probably had high expectations after hearing real good reviews from friends. Will go back to try out some other dishes.

A big restaurant with barely any clients but with decent Italian cuisine. The beef tartare was average, pizza Margherita and pasta had a very nice tomato sauce. Fried eggplant and salmon were good. Passion fruit creme Brulee was disappointing.

I'm going to start with the best thing I love about this place - it's not overcrowded and stuffy like many places ! I've been there a couple of times - for dinner and for just coffee+dessert. <br/><br/>You cannot go there and not start craving all the flavors of Italy from the delicious dancing aromas around you. <br/><br/>We started with the fresh Burrata with vegetables, I'd rate that 10/10 - the zucchini added an amazing flavor to it. We then ordered the Seafood Pasta and Grilled Salmon which were both very good. <br/><br/>And I need not mention the endless choices of cakes and tarts. <br/><br/>Taste of Italy is definitely in our favorites' list !

Visited Taste of Italy yesterday with my husband for dinner. Located in Galleria Mall in Alsafa this place is quite spacious with mouthwatering Italian merchandise and desserts on display. We ordered the Gnocci and Rocket & Funghi pizza as our mains. They were pretty tasty and we were pretty stuffed so couldnt try the fabulous looking desserts on the counter. I will definitely go back to try some more their menu items. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was quick. I guess this is because the place was nearly empty due to it being a weekday.

It’s like a dream for me to visit Rome, some say it’s a journey to the past with all the architectural beauty held, diverse art and the irresistible food. I would love to lose myself to such beauty and culture held. Chef Heinz beck who currently lives in Rome is one of Europe’s respected / celebrated chef who holds 5 Michelin stars and owns himself few fine dining restaurants across the world!<br/><br/>I was one among the privileged to be invited for a master class with Chef Heinz beck himself held at Taste of Italy at Al Wasl.<br/><br/>The restaurant was an easy find and so was parking. As I entered couldn’t help notice the huge spacious arrangement it had and the arranged counters for each section (desserts, meat, cheese & so on). Also at the center a large display of products from Italy are kept for sale too. <br/><br/>At sharp 11 am we were seated facing the kitchen and got to watch chef cook his specialties in a three course meal for 45 minutes which later was served to all the foodies.<br/><br/>- RASPBERRY MOCKTAIL:<br/><br/>We started off with the bread basket and as we waited for our dish the staff was courteous to treat us to their signature mocktail. The raspberry drink was very refreshing and light.<br/><br/>- TARTARE DI MANZO, PESTO DI PISTACCHIO E POMODORI SECCHI:<br/><br/>A perfect presentation of beef on a design of pistachio and sun dried tomato was a pleaser. The dish is basically minced raw meat seasoned with oil and other spices with both high quality and fresh. The presentation was beautiful and same stated taste wise.<br/><br/>- MEZO RIGATONE CON CACIO E PEPE:<br/><br/>I love pasta and can enjoy it anytime, however this time I tried it with a completely different combination. The short Italian pasta with creamy cheese served on pea foam was a surprise! I later added more grated cheese and sprinkled with pepper. The pasta which is a smaller size form is quite a healthy option and tasted really good. Pea foam was different and blended really well with the creaminess.<br/><br/>- FRIED ZUCCHINI & CALAMARI:<br/><br/>A small platter of calamari and zucchini along with sauce was presented to each of us – a platter to share. The small bites were tasty.<br/><br/>- TIRAMISU ( DECONSTRUCTED)<br/><br/>The best till date I have tried. The Chef presented is unique creation of a deconstructed Tiramisu with the Mascarpone rolled in a ball size accompanied with meringue drops with cocoa & coffee ice cream. Perfect to enjoy each flavor. This was the highlight for the day…needless to say!<br/><br/>I enjoyed my afternoon to the fullest. I and my foodie partner P A U L J opted for Cappuccino to end our lunch and the staff was kind enough to provide us with one. Hospitality was at the top and the food was spot on. We will definitely be back to enjoy more on the menu and chef’s signature dishes :)

The food reminds me of Italy. Not many restaurants here that serve a pizza like theirs even the dough is the same as Rome! Totally loved the Coffee very rich flavors and aroma. Will surely visit again when i miss Rome:)

was invited to a Master Class held by the Chef himself Heinz Beck where he prepared 3 very tasty dishes for us. The beauty of it all was in the simplicity with which the dishes were prepared and how quickly they were done. Since there were only 5 of us at the class we enjoyed watching his work close up where he would answer all our questions and queries about the dishes and give us some tips on how to get food to taste Italian like. <br/><br/>The first dish was Tartare di Manzo which was chopped fillet of beef on pistachio pesto and some sundried tomatoes and olives.<br/><br/>Then he prepared Mezzo Rigatone con cacao e pepe which was short Italian pasta with creamy cheese and black pepper sauce served with pea foam.<br/><br/>Then we were served some fried calamari and Zucchini<br/><br/>And finally the dessert was Tiramisu with coffee ice cream which was the best Tiramisu I've had till date to be honest.<br/><br/>With every dish we would get a chance to ask questions and learn more about his style of cooking and the ease of cooking a dish within 5 to 10 minutes.<br/><br/>We also got to try some of the breads that are baked freshly in the restaurant and some of the breads had olives and cheese in them and we loved it.<br/><br/>I would like to thank Mr Fabio for giving me a tour of the restaurant and explaining how most of the items are baked freshly in house using imported ingredients from Italy and other European countries.<br/><br/><br/>Will definitely visit next time to try their pizzas which are prepared 70 to 80 hours in advance and which they claim you can have 2 of and ask for more<br/><br/>

Another gem that people are not aware of. This is my second time in this place and again I am not disappointed. The place is spacious and opened so you view the chefs at work 'not to be missed'. The staff were very hospitable and friendly. The food was incredible (fresh, beautifully seasoned and the portion was on point). Verdict: highly recommended (specially for pizza fans)
