Diego's had been open for about a year before I tried it for the first time, the previous restaurants in that location had failed one way or another so I was definitely skeptic at first. My first meal there was a carne asada torta. It was amazing..full of great flavorful meat with fresh toppings. Wow. Could this be just a one time lucky meal? Next time I tried the Pollo asado lunch special burrito. I asked to have the beans and rice that come with the order put into the burrito. It turned out to be amazing and way more than I could eat in one sitting. Seems like Yuma has another gem of a restaurant again, I will definitely be back for more!

Excellent customer service, good food, free WiFi. We were passing through and found Diego's. They use vegetable oil - NO LARD - which was exactly what we were looking for. The cashier was incredibly helpful and patient. We ordered a quesadilla, chicken enchiladas, carne asada burrito and a pollo asado plate. The food was delicious and tasted more authentic than other places. The beans and rice were so good, though a little on the salty side. The chicken enchiladas were wrapped in yummy tortilla that I think was corn. And the sauce was quite good and not spicy. They have a condiment bar and free soda refills. They also have instant horchata and jamaica drinks. The dining area was clean and empty with two flat screens. Most people order at the drive-through. The restrooms could use some remodeling, but they were adequate. Overall, Diego's is good fast Mexican-style food priced well!

I got the combo plate with chicken enchiladas and a beef taco. Rice and beans were okay. Enchilada was either cheese or didn't have much chicken in it. The beef taco was very salty. It used to be better 2 years ago. I might go again in a pinch but definitely not a go to anymore.
