Rice Style

We visited last weekend as a last minute walk in. We didn't realise it was a Thai at first, I walked past it in the afternoon thinking it was a cafe. Really good service and very friendly staff. Food was very good, spicy and interesting. The soup was especially good. We enjoyed it so much we went again the following evening.

One of my favourite Thai places in York. The food here is absolutely delicious and great as a dine in or takeaway option. The gluten free options are clearly labelled on the menu with quite a few different dishes being gf. The only thing to note is that when I said I was a coeliac, I was told the gf labelled fish cakes wouldn't be suitable due to cooking methods creating cross contamination. While it is really good that the staff are so well trained in dietary requirements and were able to tell me this clearly to prevent me from getting poorly, it is a shame that something labelled gluten free on the menu wasn't ultimately suitable for coeliacs. They instead advised a different gluten free starter which ended being fantastic.

I cannot put enough stars for this place. I have enjoyed every meal I have had. The curries are cooked to perfection, the spices are so awsome, really good balance, the dishes are always well presented and come with good wines. The staff are lovely too, really caring but not overwhelming, everything in this restaurant is just right. Cosy inside in winter, lovely decking area to enjoy your meal in the summer. Relaxed atmosphere. I strongly recommend!

A hidden gem. Being just outside the city walls (but only a 15 minute walk from the railways station) this is perhaps somewhere to seek out rather than come across but chance but it's well worth doing just that. A family run business, they are extremely welcoming and accommodating. But the food here is the real star. Absolutely delicious authentic Thai food. I had the hot and spicy Tom yum soup to start and then chicken in basil, garlic and chilli sauce, both of which were amazing. Very highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
