Lovely old pub. Great beer. Pool table. Huge car park.

Unsure of what this pub was going to be like/look like but was pleasantly surprised. Good pints and a cosy gaff. Jack won a few quid on the 4.40 at Aintree

Old fashioned pub. Friendly bar staff. Very busy due to a birthday party but well served with drinks and great food. Will return.

Emma the bar lady was nothing less than than exceptional,such a lovely lady,so friendly and made us feel right at home,totally lovely experience.

Always a welcome for anyone at the Gate. Landlady is superb and the staff are excellent. Atmosphere is friendly and homely.
