Sol

The food was excellent, the drinks are different, and fun!! Delish too! Service was awful, but it could’ve been because it was on a Friday night? It took an hour before the waitress even came to take our order, by that time we had had enough time to figure out what we decided on, and the waitress said they were out of what we decided on. When she first came over to us, she could have said upfront that we’re out of the beef short rib Mac n cheese. Clearly disappointed as me and a couple others had our heart set on that. I had to now take more time on figuring what else I wanted. Now hangry, I finally picked something else, and my cousin did as well..my cousin ended up with a meal that she had requested a few things without …the meal completely wrong, the waitress said she wrote it down right, but the cooks got it wrong. So after waiting a really crazy amount of time, to order and finally eat. My cousin didn’t even eat, she had her meal sent back. For the price of things at this restaurant I would have hoped for a better first experience however, as I have been wanting to go here forever, but I do know things happen, and sometimes out of our hands. I say they for sure deserve another chance. The malanga chips were my absolute favorite and I would go back every day just for those!

I go once a week for lunch. The quality of everything I've ordered is at a consistently high level and that is tough to do during a time constrained lunch schedule. The menu is plenty diversified enough to be able to experiment with other dishes than your favorite if you choose. They also change the menu and preparations often enough that the menu doesn't ever get stale. Just please don't ever get rid of the octupus!! I've also had private events there as well and their event staff and menu is incredible as well. Sol is an asset to Downtown Willoughby.

Sol's menu does not disappoint. There's so many different types of options and selections of food. Their mocktails (At least the lemon lavender basil) was amazing. They're usually very busy, and sometimes a service is hurt or miss during that time... But typically it's really great. They're atmosphere is perfect in the three different areas they have..bar is spacious, outdoor patio (which there aren't many in downtown Willoughby so this is a great option to have), their casual dining room and what feels like a formal dining room with booths, velvet seating, and great decor makes it a great place for personal or business gatherings. Their food is always incredible. I've been there for brunch, a burger at the bar, client meeting, and casual dinner with friends.

Definitely making this my new taco tuesday place! The food is very diverse and cool! The staff is very friendly and kind I recommend Autumn as a server! We enjoyed a nice breezy day out doors enjoying some chips drinks and tacos. I got a Pb delight martini,Shrimp taco, and a pulled pork taco and the tacos were decent size.Highly recommend them all!

An awesome place to go for lunch or dinner......... Went here with friends had a great time talk to the bartender she was very nice and had lots of knowledge of the place and the food as well as the alcohol....lol.... It's kind of a little different than you would see in Willoughby but a nice surprise at the same time.... A quality place with property people... I've had lots of great dishes here over the past years and also this time that I stop by..... A must-go place..... He will not be disappointed....

Service is quick and friendly, and the interior is spacious and unique. Their waffles are by far the best I've had. Tastes a bit like a funnel cake, crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside. Warning though with the chicken and waffle, the chicken if very well seasoned with a lot of herbs (herby if you will), if you don't like that kind of thing in your fried chicken, you may not enjoy it but I thought it was very delicious 😋
