One of the best restaurant meals I’ve ever had! Unique and with a range of flavours that are both incredibly tasty and unusual. Particularly outstanding vegetarian and vegan choices. I highly recommend The Printers Rest

What a find! The food was amazing, the menu was vast with lots of Maltese specialities and the staff were very informative about the dishes and made lost of great recommendations. It's take your own alcohol and is also dog friendly if you book in advance. Would definitely recommend, what a little gem, it was delicious!

A cosy setting located on the East Coast of Scotland, it's not entirely noticeable, but definitely worth a visit! I was impressed by the menu having many vegetarian/vegan and gluten free options. It is unusual to have so much choice in many restaurants, especially in such remote locations. We were served by a friendly staff member and the chef came to offer us personalised recommendations which was a lovely gesture. The food was delicious and the atmosphere inviting. The owners had a dog who also kept us entertained. Overall, we are glad to have stopped by this place on our way to Inverness. Would definitely recommend!

Quirky Cafe/Restaurant offering a wide range of Mediterranean style dishes. We tried a selection of Antipasti dishes instead of mains ( 9 different between 3 of us ) and a garlicy hearth bread all of which which proved excellent and ample. Superb fig and date pastries for desert. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will definitely return.

Was looking for a fresher flavour experience for dinner as we travelled up north and the Printers Rest did not disappoint. I ordered the duck leg stincotto + side salad and my husband had the Maltese caponata + egg+ side salad and we brought our own bottle of white wine which the owner chilled for us. The side salads were an experience in themselves - one part were a minted watermelon and cucumber, another was an interesting air dried apple + celery + other herbs, and so on. If you are looking for a change from potato/chips/ heavy dishes, here is a good place. The option to have mixed small plates tapas style also works. Had vegan and veggie options. For the sweet lovers, the churros seemed to be a go-to. The place is a wool, art and craft shop combined with the cafe/restaurant - with big windows and a light, airy feel. Felt spacious and airy. Very reasonable as BYO wine.

The place is amazing everything was perfect. The cute puppies, the aubergine honey thing with chilli was sooo good then this pizza. It is a special dough. Incredible. And the deserts were so good. The sitting area is nice and this couple is so nice . Nice photos and nice handmade knitting things and actually many more. This restaurant is special.

An extensive selection of Mediterranean options in a craftshop setting was a really pleasant surprise find! The food was delicious and the churros are some of the best you'll find anywhere (including Spain!). It's a very short walk across the bridge from the town centre.
