Hy-vee

Would have been nice to have the birthday cake from the cooler I picked up to have been decorated with Happy Birthday for my wife (Sunday 6/26/2022). I guess the 3 staff members in bakery were too busy standing. As a truck driver passing through Waterloo I was looking for a white cake with buttercream icing (her favorite.) Had to settle for a chocolate cake with buttercream. She was riding along on a trip back from Tennessee to home in Minnesota. Guess I should have visited Walmart next door.

It's a store that sells food and other supplies that I need and they also tell you about deals over the speakers. Some times there's attractive ladies that work there which is nice, but it also invokes a deep existential crisis in me from time to time. Saving money and getting toothpaste is fine and dandy but what is my purpose on this planet, when will everyone I know and care about get sick, old, and die? Hy-Vee makes me want to embrace more suffering in life because there deals and customer service is just that good. I sometimes want some one who works there to insult me or physically attack me just so I feel alive, truly if you want a grocery store to shop at pick Hy-Vee not that filthy Walmart across the street, have some self respect.
