The Pickled Crab

Went in last Weds for a 3 course dinner with my friend. Wow what can I say? For only £25 each we got a fresh homemade loaf, squid in chilli and garlic, fresh salmon and tuna tacos, followed by beautifully cooked local Duck Breast. I couldn't manage a pudding but Nigel insisted and I wolfed the chocolate dessert down. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. Nigel chose the menu, and it was perfect! Highly recommend. I have already booked to return

Have to say for me this is the best place to eat in Warwick. I took my wife to try the tasting menu we had heard a lot about and we were not disappointed. The food was tasty and fresh with plenty of courses and lots of variety which combined well dish after dish. Definitely would recommend and will be returning.

The food is exceptional!! The wait for the food and drinks wasn't too long at all and the waitress was friendly and very easy going. I and my table all had the cod and chips with mushy peas. The chips were perfectly cooked. The cod was a good size and the batter was golden, light and crispy. This place also has a bar that serves beers and cocktails and they also play music. To top it off, the selection of seafood on offer is fantastic! Octopus, crab, oyster, pan fried prawns, seabass, Gin and Tonic Salmon, salmon arancini balls. So much choice. As well as battered chicken. The only issue that I had was that despite the fact that the tables look great for the venue, they don't provide any leg room as there are planks of wood on large wooden boxes. So I felt I had to twist my back and lean over the food, which was uncomfortable on my lower back. In the end, I ended up sitting at the corner of the table, with my legs either side of the box. I cleared my plate and would definitely come back again for more!! One of the very best fish and chip shops I have been to. Definitely in my top 3!!!!

Really good sea food, I would say one of the best in the midlands. The fish display was really fresh so they are getting fish and selling on the same day. We sat down and had lobster+chips, calamari Thai style and octopus. I thought it was all great, my favourite was definitely the calamari. My girlfriend's only grumble was that she had chunky chips and wanted fries instead. I was really surprised to see him doing all the cooking and waiting but he did a great job. It was great food and really friendly. I can see some people grumbling about the price but it is fresh seafood in Warwick. That is not easy to do. I will try the rest of the menu next time we go back to Warwick :)
