Food was excellent and plenty on the plate for big appetites, staff were young and it showed with lack of interaction with customers. Old pub but pleasant atmosphere. Would defernatly go again

We came to this small charming pub for Sunday roast and I have to say it was pretty good, I had roast lamb with potatoes and vegetables including Yorkshire pudding. I thought it was nice and would recommend.

Excellent pub with great food and real ales. Huge car park so great for walking groups. Very popular so make sure you book before you visit.

Met some friends here for an evening meal. It's a nice pub, with plenty of parking and a varied menu.
The food was good, and portion sizes were just right.
It was very busy when we went, so I'd recommend booking in advance.

Visited as part of a family birthday celebration on a Thursday night. Food was very good value and the choice and quality was excellent. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the service as repeat drinks ordered after the initial ones never arrived. This would not have been a problem but when the bill came these had not only been charged for but also several drinks which we never ordered!! It took staff an unbelievable four attempts to rectify these mistakes and also others that we noticed on closer inspection of the bill. Such as Menu prices not the same as till charges!!
This is Not acceptable Anchor Inn you need to do better, as it rather spoilt what had been up to then a good evening.

Excellent good value "home cooked food enjoyed by our party. I particularly enjoyed the chicken curry which was delicious and well presented.
Just mind the bill! There were four attempts to get ours correct.

Decided to try the place out for dinner as very good reviews and very near the Warwickshire Hotel. Adequate parking space. Huge lovely garden dining. The restaurant ambiance was okay, quite small, it wasn’t fancy. There was a smell in the air as well, not bad though. I was a bit uncertain at first. But happily the lady who served us was very pleasant and cheerful. And they had apple crumble on the menu! Hubby and I went for fish and triple cooked chips. Lucky we were hungry because the portion was huge! The fish was so nice and flaky and tender. I never really saw the fuss about triple cooked chips but this one was really good! Just yummy! Hubby enjoyed his mushy peas I had perfectly cooked whole peas. The only problem was we didn’t have any more room for apple crumble! We need to have a better plan for when we come back! Seems like really pleasant staff having friendly interactions with what look like regular customers.

Thank-you to Sean & team for the most gorgeous Sunday dinners today for my birthday get together for ten of us and our new little baby in the family. Everything from the welcome, atmosphere in/outside, attentive service to the beautiful food! Hot day and lots of people dining and drinking yet all ran like clockwork!
