Prima is a high-end restaurant, and I feel like it epitomized some of the things I dislike about such places. Specifically, the serving sizes are a bit underwhelming, and the service/decor was a bit impersonal. The food was tasty and the cocktails were good too, but not so outstanding that I'll rush back there.

All food was excellent. Service was impeccable - attentive without being overbearing. Per table, limit of 2 bottles of your own wine. OK for a party of 4, but would be a problem for a larger group that likes to bring wine from home (although that is a typical limit). Tiramisu looked better than my cannoli. Can't wait till we have another chance to go there.

Great food, terrible service and price. Dinner for 4 was $500.00 and we asked the waiter if he could bring a cookie after the check came and he said that he can do it only if he charges for it. Really $1 dollar cookie!!!

After something like 25 years this area classic still offers one of the best meals in the Walnut Creek 680 area. You will find an outstanding wine list and excellent pasta dishes. Our favorite meal is their Ceasar salad and Tagliatelle (pasta). Both of these have been on their menu forever for a good reason. The front dining area (along the street) can get rather noisy however it is ideal on warm evenings when they open the full length shutter doors. The bar area is especially nice for meeting friends or more casual dining.

Best dinner in Walnut Creek period. There is no better high end dinner. Service is 5 star as well is the food. This is my wife's favorite place as well. Service always is exceeding all expectations, just like the food. Do yourself a favor and go have dinner here.

Prima has been in Walnut Creek for a long time and has a very loyal following of diners. I had not been there in quite a long while . I was very impressed with the decor, hostess, server, cocktails and wine and the delicious appetizers and cuisine. We were seated in the Loggia next to the side walk . It was a lovely seat. Our server Chris was congenial and helpful with our dinner selections. I had the Risotto and my guest had the Chicken Breast and both meals were savory and delicious. The food is served fairly fast because they want to turn the tables to accommodate their vast regular customers. All in all it was a fun dining experience I recommend that you try Prima Restaurant. Sincerely, Buck J. Cheshire. . .

I ordered a mixed green salad and the Grilled Niman Ranch Pork Rib Chop (with Winter Fruit Compote and Spinach.) Perfectly executed and delicious.

Blend of food & wine - wonderful. Prima's offers Italian themed dishes and a wonderful pairing of wine; that can also be purchased at their wine shop.
The specials they offer from the wine clubs to the Friday tastings are a great compliment to the equally great kitchen.

Simply Outstanding. Peter and John have done a phenomenal job of transforming this once "good" restaurant into a world class dining Mecca in the heart of Walnut Creek, worth of the "outstanding" moniker. They literally scour the world for the best of the best, and if you want THE BEST Italian food, bar none, this is the place to go. The food is simply top notch.

John Rittmaster has done his usually fantastic job of scouring the world for the best wines money can buy, and he will put a bottle in your hands that will not break the bank and will bring tears to your eyes because it is so damn good. He know his wines....period !!!

As a finicky half Sicilian former chef, I have to say this is the only Italian restaurant I have found worthy of my hard earned dollar.
