Absolutely worth any wait. Our server Maddie was amazing, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Our food was incredible. Get the Ahi Tuna Steak, I’m begging you. The Mai Tais are strong and incredible tasting.

The food was great. I had the poke Tacos and the fish and chips. But the strawberry cream pie and the coconut cream pie were extremely good.

We were excited to check out this location after hearing about it from friends, and it did not disappoint. A few reviews said the food they ordered had no taste but that was not the case for our three meals. Most reviews said the service is too-notch and they was spot-on. Our server was very friendly, helpful with ideas of things to do on the island and even suggested a “secret item” off the drink menu for my daughter (coconut lemonade - it was delightful). We started with the lobster deviled eggs, which had a nice combination of eggs and dill with the lobster pieces on top. The mai-tai with lilikoi foam was unlike anything I have ever had before, but was strong so one was plenty. We had three fish meals - lobster pasta, seared ahi steak and macadamia crusted mahi mahi. All of us were very pleased with our meals - nothing was left on our plates. We ended with coconut cream pie which was top three of all time. I am ready to go back to try more dishes from their menu.

Came to Monkeypod for Lunch. Had made a reservation with opentable. Probably didn't need the reservation, but it was good to be certain. Arrived and we were greeted at the bottom of the stairs by a gal that saw we had a reservation and told us to contact the counter at the top. So we checked in at the counter in the restaurant. They seemed a bit disorganized, but nice enough. Got to our table and our server Maria was with us immediately. She is very kind and very patient with our numerous questions on the menu. We ordered a Chef's special - Seared Ahi Melt sandwich, and a Fish sandwich (with Mahimahi). Both were exceptionally good and done perfectly. Overall, The service was impeccable (Maria is fantastic), and the food is wonderful. Is Monkeypod expensive - hell yes. But when you get great food, great service, live music, and wonderful ambience, then yes, it deserves a 5 star review.

Preston, our server was incredible. You should ask for him! We definitely enjoyed our time here. He was very attentive with us and gave us good recommendations. We personally loved the desserts and the Mai Tai. As for the main plates: we had the gnocchi and the macadamia fish. I felt they were somehow unflavored and a bit grassy. I would love to try other things. Would definitely come back to this place!

Yum! The shrimp and mushroom potstickers had me wanting to lick my plate. So good. The Bulgogi tacos had a lot of different flavors and was delightful. I wish they were slightly bigger or came with a side. Fun restaurant. Quick wait. Great service from Sherry. This is our second visit this year and I would come again next time I’m visiting Maui. Plan ahead bc I think it stays busy. Also happy hour is 3-5:30 and appetizers and drinks are half off.

One of our best meals while in Maui. I had the pizza and it was great! One is plenty to fill up one person or as an appetizer for 2-4 people. My boyfriend had the steak with the jalapeño mash potatoes and loved it. We also had their delicious chocolate cream pie. Would come back for the pies alone! The garlic parm fries were a little soggy so not as good but good seasoning and the rest of the food was great. Friendly staff, if a little slow but we didn’t mind the wait as they were very busy! I highly recommend making a reservation unless you want to wait 20-45 mins to be seated. We made a reservation and were seated in 10 mins so it was worth it!

The food and service here was fantastic. I ordered an extra dirty martini with three olives, and when Nick, our server, saw I only had two, he went back to the bar and came back with three more olives. The martini was phenomenal. I've never had Pau vodka before, and it was better than top-shelf vodka. We went to the aquarium yesterday, and another patron recommended the Bulgogi Pork Tacos and half our table ordered this dish, which was terrific. If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking this restaurant out and making reservations.

This was our first experience with Monkeypod Kitchen. Our server, Sydney, was great! The cocktail server never made herself known when she arrived at our table and put one drink right in front of me with her arm only inches from my face, forcing me to lean back from the table. My Oban on the rocks arrived as an Oban neat with a side of ice. I ordered the fish sandwich, no buns, and a side of broccoli. When my order arrived, the broccoli was delicious, although the portion was small, and my Mahi Mahi was raw in the center. I had to send it back to the kitchen to get it cooked properly. When it returned, it was cooked thoroughly, and it was delicious. Since it had to be refired, they comped my meal, which I appreciated. Because of the cocktail server's rudeness, they offered a dessert as compensation. Overall, it was a nice evening, so I gave 4-stars, but it could have been a 5-star experience. Maybe next time, I'm sure we will see you again.

Outstanding food. The hostesses was awesome, very accommodating, and seemed happy to be doing her job. As busy as they were, I expected a longer wait than 10 minutes. The wife and I went upstairs and just steps into the building, we were greeted by another hostess who seated us on the balcony. We only caught a glimpse of the inside and again when we had navigation to the opposite side of the dining area to the restroom. I feel we were left out as to the feel of the atmosphere. Although the balcony was nice, it was quite breezy, which degraded the experience. Our server was amazing. He was very well versed in the dishes, being able to explain everything as if he prepared them himself. For an appetizer, we ordered the lobster deviled eggs. They were good but excessively overpriced for 2 eggs with nothing special except the tiny bit of lobster on top. The wife had the gnocchi and added chicken. She said it was good but probably will not be getting it again. I thought it was really good and think she didn't care for it because she does not like the dumplings in chicken and dumplings. We didn't know gnocchi is basically a dumping. I had the chief's seafood special, which was blue marlin. I thought it was amazing, over the top. Drinks: I had their signature mai Tai. It was the best I've had. The wife had the Lemmon drop. She said it was good. The price was more than we were expecting to spend for dinner, about $150. We didn't realize this place was higher end. We were looking for half that price. But, the food and service made it worth it.

The staff are so friendly and helpful, after a long flight my family of 11 needed somewhere to eat and they were willing to work with us on the fly. We didn't end up all going, but those who did had a great time. We really loved the mango magic drink and pumpkin ravioli!

Great front of house. The gal checking us in was pleasant, effective and efficient. I had a little chat with her in regard to the Merriman in Kapalua. Because of her, I’ll keep recommending this place. Food was great. Was not fond of the lobster deviled egg but my ravioli appetizer and pizza was phenomenal and so is their famed Mai tai! The only reason why we checked this place out!

We went midday for lunch around 2:30pm and made a reservation in OpenTable. Indoor and outdoor seating available. So many great options on the menu. When in Hawaii, you have to have the fish. So fresh and the flavors for every dish were incredible. Alyssa was our server and she was so sweet and knowledgeable. See pics posted as well.

Amazing dinner. They use all local ingredients. Pizza was thin crust and amazing. The fish tacos were perfect. Not fishy at all, grilled fresh fish

Great restaurant that is open past 9m on weekdays. The food was pretty delicious, and prices are fair. Margherita pizza was pretty good. The house fries are great.
