It's not a large pub, it doesn't profess to be. It is however a fantastic hospitable well researched & restored establishment. It serves excellent ale at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

This compact but characterful pub is just what Thornton needed. The range of quality beers available shows thought to present something a little away from the ordinary. The cask ale I tried (Kirkstall 3 Swords and Landlord) were the best kept cask pints I have had in years. Excellent choice.

Excellent independent real ale bar with good selection of beers. Quite small and intimate so it can seem a little cramped but don't let that put you off. It's got a great atmosphere and friendly staff. It's something a little different to the village of Thornton but it is a very welcome addition. Well worth a visit for a pint or two.

I absolutely adore this little pub. The beer garden at the back is a proper little sun trap. The staff are always friendly and the beers are always on point.

Good selection of beers, clean yet still historic. Will be back. They have spent months renovating, yet still looks old. So actually done a fantastic job! Give it a try.
