Pavement

The food is tasty and the service is good, but I hate having to pull apart my meal and rebuild it. I ordered the avocado, tomatoes and fetta with poached eggs on sour dough. It came with almost a whole avocado on one slice of toast, the eggs on the other slice of toast a block of feta on the side and tomatoes on the side. Meaning I have to take everything off and rebuild it to eat it.

I'd like to give 3.5 stars if I could. I don't often post reviews on food places I have only visited once because everyone has bad days... I also have some sentimentality for this place as my grandma used to bring me when I was much much younger, so for it to have been around for so long says something about the place. Recently visited with my parents, it wasn't full but it was a little bit noisy in the inside, not sure much could have been done about it. I ordered the chicken and mushroom crepe, I would recommend you pick something else from the menu. The crepe added nothing to the dish, everything was drowned in sauce and/or cheese so it gave the impression of being served a plate of pie filling rather than a crepe. It was heavily salted and there really wasn't much about the flavor to enjoy. My dad had the zucchini slice, which seemed much better.

I have to give 1 star just to write my review but doesn't deserve even 1! The quality of the food was very bad for the amount of money that they charged it is NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!!!! Customer Service is rough not friendly they think they're doing you a favor?!!? Coffee was bitter, orange juice sour using the peel 👎🏼 Bacon oily, pancakes dry, mushy strawberries, iced coffee was warm… complete disaster!! it was a rip off!!! 😡 This is most overprice restaurant in the Shire!! I do not mind paying the money if the restaurant is worth it… but this restaurant is worth nothing. Lesson learnt i will NEVER go back.

One of the most overpriced places I have ever been and I am not saying expensive because I am happy to pay for quality. As soon as we sat down they pushed us to order drinks like there was no tomorrow and then we were not impressed with the quality/ flavour of every plate we ordered.🤬 Bacon was super oily and Brown, coffee was bitter, milkshake was warm with no flavour, orange juice was super sour (using orange peel to save some money) and our poached eggs were hard as a rock. The lady even told us it was our responsibility to ask for runny yolk when we order poached eggs as according to her hard is always the first option. 🤔 We always go the the ugly cook in box Rd but today it was closed so we decided to give the pavement a go even though we heard about their prices. Well, lesson learnt , we will never go back.
