Since newer owners took over a few years ago, this unfortunately is the worst sushi we’ve ever ordered from. The tuna in the spicy tuna rolls was too tough to even chew through and the beef teriyaki rolls didn’t even have an ounce of teriyaki sauce on it and poor quality beef which again we couldn’t chew through. I love this place. You pick everything you want in a stir fry and they cook it up for you. They also have sushi, soups and noodles as well. For the pick & chews part they don't have as much selection now due to covid but its still good. 4* 😊

The $10 "Beef Box Bento" with beef teriyaki, miso soup, California roll and salad is the best option on the menu. Great take-out option.
Note: Recent change in ownership changed the price to $10.50.

The last time I got my sushi I had to cancel one of my orders because it took too long and I had to go and it came with ginger and wasabi after I asked not to put it in and once again today I asked for no ginger and wasabi and it was put on again. I liked the other cook before this new one who does the sushi rolls. will not be going here anymore.
I decided to try it again 3 weeks and I just went again today and once again my order was wrong!!! every single time they mess it up. I am not going to come here anymore
My soup today I got was not even full. This place is going down hill. I DON'T recommend!!!

2021 edit: This used to be my favourite restaurant in south Surrey. The man who owned it was an absolute treat and so kind, remembering me by name. It was taken over by new ownership and the quality went down significantly. The owners are rude. They charge for napkins and cutlery and have signs displaying as such. Avoid.

Not just great 'considering it's mall food'; it's pretty great period. Super fresh, the sashimi is the best I've had in South Surrey/White Rock. Unfortunately, it seems they no longer offer Sockeye salmon (maybe just seasonally?).

Fast service, generous portions, quality and attention to detail in even the basic dishes. The all day bento boxes under $10 incl tax are an incredible deal. This humble and friendly japanese family in a food court brings bigger restaurants to shame.
