Plan B

So I come here pretty often to play pool, it's a great dive bar, the locals are awesome, the pool table is in great shape, beer selection is good, and it's not too expensive, and even the food has gotten significantly better in the past 6 months..... However the bartender is a problem (not referring to Will & his girlfriend) - the young girl with brown hair, she never smiles, barely even makes eye contact when taking your order, takes 20 minutes to pour a simple beer. She often disappears outside to smoke or to the kitchen to hang out with the other staff leaving the bar completely unattended. I get that we live in an age where it's hard to find competent staff to hire with all the economic stimulus being handed out left and right, but there has to be someone better than her out there. 4 stars for everything else.

This place is great! The wings are delish and meaty, I went with a few friends and had the Twisted Salad... AMAZING!! There was a pickled egg on there and It tasted like the artichoke hearts were in fried pattys.. delicious salad.. the wings were fantastic also! Then we split the bread pudding.. which was VERY tasty!!! Last but not least.. the bartender Andy was awesome! I asked for a long island Iced tea and the fact that he asked me whether I wanted his California version or the long island, I was very surprised... lol! I chose the California, which was YUM!!!!! And their business cards... lol!! Hysterical! I am so Looking forward to my next trip back.. Hopefully Andy is there to make my California Tea!!

It's a great townie place. I drove from RI to be in town for a business meeting on the following day. After three hours on the road I popped in here for a libation and a bite to eat. The prices are right. The service was quick and the food was good. The kind people at the bar struck up a conversation with me like I was a regular there. It was a comfortable feeling. Don't go there expecting white linen and a maitre'd, however.
