Panera Bread

I use to love this place, but the food lately just isn't the same. The Bistro Onion Soup didn't have melted cheese on top. The Napa Almond Chicken Sandwich didn't have any almonds, had very few grapes (which were thinly sliced instead of halved) and the chicken salad didn't cover the whole sandwich. However, the Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich was good, as usual. Maybe, there was someone new cooking that day. I want to love this place again. I'll probably give it one more try, then it's love it or leave it.

It's weird eating out at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I guess that's why I was so impressed by the service and food at this Panera. I've eaten at many Panera Bread locations over the years, and most have been good meals. This one stood out, though, as the bread seemed exceptionally fresh and the service was particularly friendly. It's as if there is a light at the end of the pandemic tunnel. I had the Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich which turned out to be tasty. The bread was fresh and the bacon crisp. The cheese offered the right compliment to the turkey. And the side of bread was divine. The restaurant had plenty of spacing between groups for social distancing and all of the employees took cleanliness very seriously. Thank you Panera for delivering a fresh lunch in a pleasant atmosphere!
