Lovely pub, as me and my dad walked through the door was welcomed straight away, the bar maid was really friendly, got speaking to a man about the how the bar was made it has all different coins set in resin, then he showed us the second bar with the bottle caps in resin, proper nice pub will be returning in the near future for another pint, thank you

Popped in for a breakfast while waiting for my car to get serviced, the breakfast is good value for money and very tasty. If you're in the area and need a breakfast go and see for yourself you won't be disappointed.

Last time I went with my partner it was a nice looking pub, I've been told from him it's been improved heaps, he's been using it for the past few years & noticed good improvement the only downside is the drinks are too expensive for where the pub is situated in Shirley, but apparently the breakfast are tasty & the people are friendly & it stands out from the other pubs at first sight from the outside & decent décor inside x

As soon as we entered we were greeted with happy faces from the staff/owners. More than happy to suggest what to have, very accommodating. Breakfast was well priced and tasty with unlimited refills of coffee/tea and a glass of your choice of juices. Will be going back.

The Rover Pub, Shirley, just passing by 11.45 am, it says breakfast till 12 - Lovely friendly lady behind bar, yes no trouble, wasn't expecting much for a medium @ £4.95, and at that time just before close, thought it might be leftovers. No it was EXCELLENT. 5 Stars definately, 4 times better than Legends in Shirley. Would definately walk down from top of Shirley. For this delicious fresh cooked breakfast. Service with a smile and Superb.

For just £7.50 including cuppas (at time of writing), The Rover Inn's Full English breakfast is excellently priced, and tastes great. Two eggs, two bacon, two sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, beans and plum tomatoes, meaning juices left over to mop up with the slice of toast included. Top it all of with the friendly and helpful staff, and it makes a place I'll definitely be having breakfast in again.

Made extremely welcome as soon as I entered the bar, both the owner and staff were so welcoming, and their 8am breakfasts were very well presented.
Definitely will visit next time I'm Southampton
