Nice food, and nice welcoming staff. but it looks like they have closed down maybe. As the shop windows have all been covered up inside with paper or boards. we will not see them again? Or is it just being refurbished.

I was sad to hear of the fire in May 2019. It is now July 2019 but there is no sign of any work being done. Lins have always provided excellent food and service so I hope they will reopen at some point. If anybody knows what's happening, please leave a review.

Cooked to order and fresh. Curry sauce is excellent. Fish could be bigger for the price. Barely any difference between the small and large cod except an extra bit of batter.

By far and away Southampton's best fish and chip shop. Great family run shop where the counter service is excellent and the food is cooked perfectly and the portion size can only be described as generous.

Best chippy in Southampton. Big queues on a Friday night but fast efficient service and fish n chips is well worth the wait. Beware. Chips come in large sized portions. Delicious.

Rarely get fish and chips, but when I do it's Lins. Fish fried fresh to order, chips never greasy and polite service. Everything I've ordered from here has been wonderful. Doesn't break the bank either.

I have been coming here now for well over 4 years and I have to say this is without doubt, the best Fish and Chip shop in England. The chips are always, always perfectly cooked and look appetising and so does every other morsel of food on offer. The staff are so friendly and if you visit as much as i do, you won't even have to remember what you want, she remembers for you!! She must have an amazing memory for remembering what the 'usual' customers want it's outstanding. I've seen the que outside the door at times as this place is so popular, but they never struggle, they never forget a customer or an order and nothing is to much trouble for them. As I'm posting this I'm deciding what to have for dinner tonight.. I think we all know the answer to this. I'm off to Lins.

I agree with the other reviews. Best fish and chips around. Batter was still crispy after a short drive home and the fish was perfectly moist. Good value too.
