The food was very good. Staff attentive. Lovely family pub. Prices are good value for money.

Nice food, friendly pleasant staff, the only thing I wasn't happy about was the service charge! I always tip but I do not agree with compulsory service charges. Good service will always get a tip.

My mum and I travelled to this venue from Felixstowe Suffolk to meet up with my daughter who was traveling from Bedford. Unfortunately I didn't book a table a mistake that I won't be making a second time. This pub I would recommend to anybody from families to couples even single people. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming, the staff are very polite and made I us very much at home whilst we had a couple of drinks out in the wonderful beer garden (which is very much children orientated) while we waited for a table to Become available inside. The food was absolutely worth the wait. Very fairly priced, big portions. I had roast gammon and the amount meat was very generous indeed. . We will definitely be going back in the very near future . 10/10
Ps . honeycomb cheesecake was amazing .

Took a family member out for lunch, we arrived unbooked & were shown straight to a collection of tables & were allowed to pick where to sit, the Waitress's were attentive & polite & despite being a Sunday lunch the food arrived quickly. We had 4 different meals, all arrived together, all hot & all very tasty. All together a great visit, we'll definitely be returning!

It's a OK pub. Lots of room for kids to run around outside. They have a bouncy castle up sometimes.
Food to good-not great though.
Lots of parking available.

The best ownership by far, the refurbishment is amazing, the staff are very friendly and accommodating to all needs/abilities while using the establishment. Can not recommend enough if you want a meal you will definitely want to keep going back for time and time again. Nothing I have been served so far was less than delicious and 100% satisfying.

The wait was an hour for food, but it may have been a bad/busy day for them. Unfortunately, when it did arrive the beef (from the carvery) was very overdone and dry. Would try again before forming an opinion, but not blown away on the first visit.

I went with my two children, 2 and 5. For a drink with a friend and his chil, 11. The beer garden is a huge, well kept, lawn. They have a small playground area with a slide as well as a couple of other play ground equipment off to one side of the lawn.
The outside patio area is clearly new and makes for a very nice alfresco dining area well covered, with its own bar and outside kitchen!
I did not eat, but everyone else was (Sunday) and there were plenty of people to make a good pub atmosphere, inside and out.
I will be going back, probably for food and definitely with the children!
For those on a night out, it looked like there was a dedicated stage for bands out side too!!

We enjoyed Sunday roast here today. It was really good and we got a table quite quickly even though we had not booked. There were alternative choices too. I have to say the food was excellent and prices reasonable. Service was quick and the staff were all great and helpful.

There has been another change of management and I'm impressed. The redecoration has made a huge difference to the feel of the place, and the menu is much improved. The food isn't as cheap as it was but certainly better quality and taste. Will be back!
