I hardly ever give bad reviews, I usually only give reviews when I like a place. This was (hands down) the worst 'acai bowl' I've ever had. It can't be called an acai bowl, it's a $13.50 ice kachang (shaved ice) with chunks of ice. I had chosen the nutty bowl from their menu that detailed Greek yoghurt and a nut butter in the mix. Guess what? No nut butter, only some dubious sugary-looking strawberry/blueberry/caramel syrup. So I opted for no liquid toppings. Then the acai bowl came and I questioned about the lack of the aforementioned Greek yoghurt. The server said they had run out of it, something that should have been informed before purchase. Had the options of two fruits: I picked strawberries and blueberries, I got grapes and blueberries. 😕 I'm thinking that it would be tough to mix up my order seeing that my friend and I were their last 2 customers of the day.

This dessert outlet opens really late, like around 1pm. There is just 1 staff so it really depends how punctual the staff is. The soft serve is quite nice though and they have 2 flavours per day: original and flavour of the month. I had tried the white peach flavour before, which was not bad but it tasted similar to the orginal flavour. Currently, the new flavour is Gula Melaka. However, try to avoid the macarons as it tasted abit stale & floppy like they had been out for a long time, so they lost their 'crackliness' when you bite into the outer layer. The business at I12 Katong Mall has never been good, so Nectar may have the toppings there for much longer than desired.
