Trilogy

Great food for a bar featuring live music. We where very pleased with the food, service was a bit slow. We are back for a fifth visit, same very good food service is still lacking. Worth a try. We are back again, we like this place and have made several visits since our last review. Seems staffing had increased to enhance service, looking forward to some more variety on the menu, lighter fare.

Great little joint in the same plaza at Hot Tamale. It's focus is more on music and entertainment. It has a small stage area, a dance area in front of that and an open floor plan for dining. The bar is long and can accomodate I would guess 30 or 40 people. It is a nice compliment to it's neighboring bar.

Visited this new local restaurant. Upon entering I was surprised it was so casual. Just a simple bar. The description of the place as an Italian restaurant was a bit misleading. Took a while for someone to come to the table even though the owner walked by numerous times. However, once our server came by...she was a delight. Very attentive and sweet. Good service. We started with the burrata appetizer and the meatball. Both delicious. The meatball was tender, good quality and so flavorful. It was a pleasant surprise. My husband ordered the chicken scarpiello. Just ok. I ordered the steak of the day. It was told to me it would be a 10 oz. They apologized they didn’t have the potatoes it was supposed to come with. So I asked for double veggies (zucchini and carrots). She apologized a second time they had no carrots. KITCHEN STAFF! It’s a Saturday night. How about getting your act together? So they dish showed up with a filet that, even precooked weight...was never close to 10oz. About six slices of zucchini and the cost was a whopping $34. No salad. No bread. Nada. Just a hockey puck and some tired squash. The steak WAS tasty. But it was so very small. Meanwhile, as we dined. The live music came on. A rock band that was truly awful. We love rock music but this was terribly loud and little to no talent. Italian restaurant but loud rock band during dinner. Hmmm? I did write a note to the owner. He read it. Never replied. So! I vote with my feet. No more Trilogy. No more Hot Tamale. I go where my opinion is valued and business is appreciated.
