If you are passing by, look through the window, and decide to walk in, you'll get exactly what you're looking for. If you decide to keep walking, you won't be missing much. This place is like Moe's Tavern, except with a good beer selection. There's no food, but you can bring some in. Theres some board games to play - classic (chess and go), or party games (say anything, pictionary, etc). Or, you can chat with friends and strangers, or read something. The large front windows make you feel like you're never too far from the street and makes for good people watching.

Really great selection of Belgian and other European beers. Not too much on draft but bottles are fantastic. Atmosphere is very dive-y, which wasn't my cup of tea, but service was very friendly and knowledgeable and again, excellent bottle selection.

I have been coming here since I moved to Seattle in '98. To me this is one of the places that IS Seattle. Great beer, a wonderful laid back vibe and just a good place.

Excellent selection of Belgian beers. Comfy dive bar vibes. If you're looking for something down to earth, you've come to the right place. Board games are included!

the ole watering hole is open! good lord, has it been a toughie catching a local dive open as speckle and drake closed a few months back. i’m relieved it’s open! i felt lucky to get a chance and enjoy a cider in the neighborhood’s corner. i rejoiced from across the room as a friendly bunch shared laughs and kindred spirit.

Excellent selection of Belgians, the vibe is immaculate and perfect and divey, and amazing humans work here. If you know your Belgian beers, you will not be disappointed.

What can I say, love Stumbling Monk, love Rob. Love the vibe. There's like no other place that is open till 2 that can fit a group of 6+ on a Friday night. My friends and I come here often late at night when it's empty and we have plenty of tables to use and seats to sit in. The beers are always fun to try. I feel like this is a best kept secret and I want to take advantage of it while I can before everyone else floods it once they find out about it.

Came here on August 26th 2022, found some regulars at the bar and the owner chatting with everyone. Got some nice international brew styles which is refreshing for someone who can't get into the high IBU brews. I just heard the news that all the businesses in this building invested big in themselves, congratulations! I'm excited for more wide ranging beers.

If you like Belgian beer and its kin, this is the place for you. It's a dive bar, to be sure, but the staff is friendly and the customers quiet. No loud music, fancy decor, allowing one to focus on their always on tap St Bernardus, Chimay, as well as the fine and discerning list of bottled beer. A veirty of board games to choose from, as well a some chess sets. A true beer lovers place. It's where the English and philosophy grads hang out (I don't know that for sure, but would not be surprised).
