Really nice spot. The restaurant is small (reservations highly recommended, and usually necessary to get a table), which only adds to it's charm. The service is excellent and the cocktails are good. The food was amongst the best Italian food that I've had in Seattle. We shared the fried artichokes, fontina fonduta, carbonara, Bolognese, one of the pizzas, and dessert. All of which were very good. This is exactly the type of place that I want as a neighborhood spot.

Friendly and attentive service with a dose of humor that I've come to appreciate in Seattle. Apps were great. Pizza was very good, not Bar Del Corso good but very much above average. Cocktail was nice. We sat outside in a tent with heater, which was fine given the nice location in Madison Valley. Unfortunately the close-by table's loud and expletive filled obnoxious coversation was a mood killer. That's not the establishment's fault though and can happen anywhere. I would strongly recommend a visit especially if you live nearby.

Amazing intimate Italian fare in Madison area with fresh made pastas, excellent small bites and and a thoughtfully selected wine list. Try the artichoke starter. Will be back

Had the most incredible meal/time here. We were attending a private party/corporate event. The food and the portions were beyond satisfying. The staff met our every need. Highly recommend.

We started by sharing a fresh burrata with tomatoes, followed by vegetarian tagliatelle and taglierini dishes, and closed with tiramisu and affogato. It was all well prepared and delicious! The wine bottle was nice but "broke the bank". Superb service but the inside seating area was a tad crowded and noisy.

Bar Cantinetta was easy to find, and easy to enjoy. Staff here are courteous, generous with the conversation, and have a good sense of humor. My date and I got a handful of antipasti plates and one main dish over drinks. The cocktails, even tho off the menu, were made well and a good sipping strength. The watermelon antipasti was a standout, as were the artichokes. There wasn't anything to complain about food wise. If you're a fan of truffles I highly recommend the fontina fonduta, which comes with a struggle butter for the baguette. This is a great spot for a casual, but intimate, date night or reconnecting with old friends over light bites.

My partner and I love this place. It holds a very special place in our heart and we’ve shared wonderful memories over the delicious food. And the pasta really is incredible!! We always come away sad we couldn’t try everything. Also always had really friendly, professional service here which elevates the experience. A Seattle favorite.

This place was amazing! Small and intimate, wonderful people who work there. Made me feel comfortable and at home. They didn't rush me and allowed me to take my time as I had appetizers, dinner and dessert along with wine and limoncello. The chef was accessible and spoke to you while he was cooking about the various menu offerings. The waiters were also very personable. The bartender was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The food was, of course, fabulous. I would recommend this place to anyone.

What a lovely little restaurant. Small menu but somehow my husband and I could find many items we can order (we are vegetarian). Everything tasted fresh and delicious. All the appetizers we tried were amazing and so was the mushroom pasta. Great service as well. Will be back!
