Claim Jumper Restaurants

I couldn't decide what I wanted for my birthday. At the last minute I decided I wanted to celebrate my birthday with a slice of the chocolate cake from Claim Jumpers. So, we originally went just to buy the cake. But, when Tracy greeted us with her warm smile and her can do attitude we were sold. I am so glad we had lunch here and I am very please with Tracy's service. She was helpful, kind and courteous. Since we told her we're were there for the cake she remembered and at the end of our meal she brought me the buttery berry cake. That cake is a game changer for us. Claim Jumper’s was always my favorite restaurant. I hadn’t been In awhile due to the pandemic and fighting Cancer. I was really looking forward to celebrating my anniversary here and unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with the new menu and service . You now have to order your sides separately if you get the steak or lobster, my husbands go to is the porterhouse but couldn’t see paying $70 with not even a side salad or bread included, I get there trying to be more like a steak house but most steak houses include bread and a side salad and claim jumpers didn’t start out this way they were known for there larger portions. I love the tri-tip Prospector however now it’s so small you can’t even see it under the onions that are way bigger then the tri-tip slices and I ordered medium rare and got it well done and dry. I use to love the mixed drinks until I was served a peachcolada in a whiskey glass! the picture showed it in a tall pinacolda glass but that’s definitely not what I received, not to mention it tasted like all syrup no alcohol. I understand cost have gone up but it says you charge 3% extra each person because of that, I don’t even mind paying extra if it was to of been like the original claim jumpers. As much as I love claim Jumpers I can’t see going back. I don’t mind paying more for good quality food and service, but unfortunately this is just not it anymore. Please go back to pre-pandemic, I wouldn’t even mind paying extra just to have the old Claim Jumpers back but until then I will not be returning and claim jumpers has been my favorite restaurant since I was a child.

Food was great. The steak that I ordered rare actually came out rare, which is uncommon for a chain restaurant (or any restaurant for that matter). My wife love the meatloaf, and my daughter said it was the best burger and fries she ever had. The customer service we received was fantastic, despite my wife and I coming in with three young children only an hour before closing time. Overall, really happy with our experience. You earned some repeat customers in this family.
