Bento Box

The food was wonderful. However, the service was a bit confusing, we ordered at the counter, then they brought us food to the table, but we had to go back up to the counter to get napkins and chopsticks. It is a little thing, but we had to wait in line each time we needed something. Finally, the furniture seemed a bit run down and in need of some updating. Not terrible, but very noticeable. Overall, it was a ok experience, and worth the money, but it could have been better.

Went to them for the first time in years and they’re still great! Fast and friendly service for takeout. I ordered the beef gyoza and pan fried noodles with chicken (that also came with rice and veggies) — everything was super tasty. The sauce they include with the gyoza was so good!! And I had leftovers for dinner — still great.

We love the Mid Town Sacramento Bento Box, so we tried this other one near Sac State. It was awesome, same Menu. It was the same great food and service. The only difference was this location you walked up and ordered, then you sat, which seemed fine. It was way less busy compared to the Mid Town location, and it has a parking lot, so you don't have to find street parking. It's good to know there is another great location to visit!

Know what kind of sushi you want. I ordered the tuna roll and spicy salmon roll. The tuna roll had a sizable amount of tuna that was appreciated, but the rice and seaweed were either a little dry or a little mushy. The salmon roll was highlighted with a slice of jalapeño on top with just a little too much spicy Mayo (which is typically par for the course at most places like this). The amount of salmon was just enough to taste that it was even there, but the contrast with the crunchy middle tempura was tasty. Overall, it felt like a decent showing for a medium quality place. However, if you’re in the mood for their modern seating arrangement and no real wait for your food, then killing a sushi craving is a decent proposition here. This place could easily host a group of friends who just want a casual bite of sushi. Think quality downscaled eating.

This place is right next to the light rail station and I have been meaning to try it out for a while. They were only doing take out orders but did have outside seating. I was actually impressed with the to go packing cause I’m used to people using cheap ones. I was also surprised at how filling everything was. The only complaint is they didn’t give me any dressing for my side salad. But other than that the food was good. I ordered the sesame chicken and it came out to 15$
