We waited too late to get into Peking on Christmas night. I googled Chinese food near me and Hunan Cafe came up. It's in a strip mall on Staples Mill Rd. We walked in and there were just a few people eating inside. 1/2 of the restaurant was packed up, not sure why! I used the restroom and it was very clean! The food came and it was really tasty! Everything was served on disposable plates and bowls with plastic utensils. Not sure if that's normal or just on Christmas ! We had Won Ton soup that was really flavorful followed by fried dumplings and egg rolls. All delicious! Our main dish was Sesame chicken with rice. It was delicious! There was broccoli with it. The sauce was so good! We definitely had enough to bring home for lunch tomorrow! A nice little spot for good Chinese food!

I love this place. It is your standard Chinese restaurant with all the classics on the menu, including egg rolls (which no one in Richmond does). The food is great, the portions healthy, and pretty reasonable prices. Give it a try when your craving traditional Chinese.
P.S. to the owners: you guys gave us a cool little bamboo hanging calendar last time we ordered. I thought that was a really nice touch and a cool promo gift.

Excellent take-out. Super nice folks. We ALWAYS order from Human Cafe because it's consistant and reliable for our Chinese chicken/Broc & spring roll/wonton fix! Inside could use updating but we always take out.

Excellent! The roast pork loin mein is my fave. I recommend the dinner specials. It's better to pick it up so it's super fresh.

I eat at Hunan Cafe at least once a week. I always make sure to get the barbecue spare ribs they are absolutely delicious and very big! The chicken wings are delicious, their pork noodle soup is the absolute bomb, and the other traditional Chinese food is just as great. Prices are fair portions are generous and I highly recommend it to everyone. And they deliver!

This is hands down my favorite delivery in the area. Order through their website though, not through GrubHub. The one time I ordered from GH and it was awful. Took foorever to arrive and the food was cold. Call or order through their actual website and it is WAY better! They are so nice, the food is always HOT and DELICIOUS. It can be hard to find good vegan takeout but they have an entire section of their menu that's veg friendly and their mock meats are actually really good!

100% the best delivery Chinese. Their fried rice is amazing, as are their dumplings, lo mein...
I wish their delivery radius was larger, I can’t always get them through Uber Eats (totally worth the higher deliver fees).
But I now refuse to eat any other Chinese. They are the best hands down.
