The Dinner Table

Tasty food and tastefully done interiors; you should spend at least an hour at The Dinner Table to relax and relish their offerings. We tried the Fried Okra, Chicken Fried Chicken, Grilled Chicken Breast, and the Eggplant Parmigiana; all the dishes were delicious! The service is great, and the environment is very welcoming and comforting. Ideal for brunch on a lazy Sunday!

I could eat the liver and onions from here any day, the burgers are really good too, just about everything I’ve had is really good. Prices and service you get here is awesome. Such of a calm environment and really well put together with a lot of thought from the food down to the silverware and paintings on the walls. It’s such of a unique place, I love it here and my husband, my sister, and father in law.

I was a bit disappointed in my meal. I ordered meatloaf and while they were very generous with the size of the meatloaf they were very stingy with the vegetables that came with it. The mashed potatoes looked like they used an ice cream scoop (and a small one at that) and the green beans were scant as well. I like to have a bite of veggies with every bite of meat and I ran out of veggies first due to the small amount. Also, the meatloaf wasn't bad but it was a little too sweet for my liking. My husband ordered the potroast and said it was fine... but not memorable. He thought the proportion of veggies vs meat was also off.

Area is a bit rundown, but once inside , very pleasant. Nice decor - lots of interesting artwork and furniture. Menu was fairly large but seemed to have a lot of standard dishes e.g. Chicken fried steak, meatloaf. I ordered the pork chops - came out perfect and hot. Great color and large - To be honest, ended up chewing on the bones for the last bit of meat - amazing. Desert of bread pudding was excellent - not too sweet, plenty of flavour . Service was excellent.
