I saw lots of bad reviews and have to say the chips were delicious, the same the large or rather massive fish x 2. I am not a big fan of mashed peas but the one we bought in Mr Cod was very good. Overall very good experience.

This is the best MR COD in reading with maybe Shinfield Road a close 2nd. Chunky chips, chicken burger amazing, very tasty.

Best chicken/fish & chips shop in Reading & best branch of Mr Cod. Consistency is always there with everything, everything always spot on. Generous portion sizes too with chips and staff are always friendly.

Excellent masala fish and spot on chicken burgers. I love their mayonnaise tastes always better than any other chippies. Plenty to park around in front and side streets to get your order. However avoid to be a regular eater as fast food kills.

Excellent Masala Fish + Chips, a regular here as I find they are reasonable in price and decent space to park around the area. I would recommend their chilli sauce pots, they're great.

Usually a good chippy. But as with all chippies, if you catch 'em just before they change the oil you might be a little peeved. But to be honest, in all the years We been using 'em, that's only happened twice to us!
