Waitrose Cafe

Ordered online via deliveroo. Ordered 12 items. Only 4 where delivered but only 1 was unavailable. Was charged for the whole order. Deliveroo offered part credit but when I reordered as it was a smaller order I was charged for additional delivery and service fees! If these stores and deliveroo cannot get it right they should not offer this service! I don't always use the online delivery but when I need to I do. But when this happens I still have to go back out or pay two lots of delivery fees and service charges... maybe they do it on purpose to get the extra money! Called but no one available to discuss at the store. Still waiting for a call back!

Disgraceful store. I purchased a free range chicken from this store on January 4th 2022 only to discover when I got home the chickens best before date was 17th December 2021 so I took the chicken back to this store with a valid receipt and was told by a rude women on customers service desk that she couldn't give me a replacement or a refund because the chicken best before date was 2021 and its now 2022. Even though my receipt was in date. This has happened alot in this particular store. Often out of date foods are sold. Rude unhelpful staff. Aparentely this store is closing in 2022 it won't be missed.

Avoid. Deserves no stars. My wife and I were followed by a security guard from entering to exiting. The guard was often distracted by other staff and shoppers but always found us again, standing 10' away while we browsed. Neither of us need to steal anything, we definitely are not the type and feel unwelcome now; singled-out without reason. We were dressed smartly, wore covid muzzles and acted politely as always. I don't feel important or precious but that "pain in the behind" experience has encouraged me to go elsewhere, where I'll get better value and service, anyway.

I always enjoy shopping in waitrose, no huge crowds, great produce, some good bargains and offers. My local Ramsgate store is particularly nice, great location with much history. The staff here are very professional and helpful. The new Waitrose weekly loyalty bonus vouchers are very good, as they target the vouchers to what you actually purchase.
