Backstage Kitchen

I had gone with a group of friends after an event on a Sunday night, so, clearly, staffing would be low. A lot of other event attendees were already there and you could see the one bartender was busy. I was standing behind a pair of men standing at the bar without drinks, and beside a pair of women. Another man had left the bar leaving an opening for the women to enter. The bartender served the women first, and they had friends come up and ask for drinks as others were waiting. After waiting for a bit, our group left for another place. On a note: the venue itself is nice, with a beautiful patio space located in the downtown area with area heaters available in case it gets cold. The liquor selection is decent, but not extensive, three beers are on tap. Protip: On a Sunday, it's going to be hard to get a drink. Dress well, and have patience, you'll get what you need.

I was looking at reviews and wonder what was different. I thought the food was wonderful! I've had breakfast and dinner here and enjoyed everything I've had (as have the 4 other people who have eaten here with me the last 2 days). The BLT scallop risotto is delicious! Sweet potato clam chowder was lovely as well.

Awful service and overpriced drinks. Say at the bar for 10 minutes before the bartender even acknowledged our presence. The space wasn’t even busy. He seemed to be conversing with his friends at the opposite ends of the bar. When he finally DID acknowledge us, we were met with immense attitude like he was annoyed that we came in and wanted a drink at the bar.....Providence has way better bars and restaurants with better quality cocktails and staff.

Pros: Our server was very friendly, and the view was nice. However... When we arrived, only 3 tables were being taken care of and the place was nearly empty. Despite this, we were told it was a “busy morning” and waited for someone to seat us for about 5+ minutes (again - the place was EMPTY - we didn’t even see an employee for a few minutes upon arriving). Unfortunately they got my order wrong , but my omelet was burnt and dry, anyway. My friend’s hot breakfast was cold by the time it got to the table. Overall the food was pretty disappointing and overpriced. A sub-par breakfast for 2 was over $30.

Bartender was very friendly and he tried to accommodate me as well as he could i think. But he never checked up on me... i work in the business as well but the food was awful, the chicken in the panino was flavorless and dry, it was faling out of my panino... the tomatoes were gross as well as the romaine (soggy, wilted). Music was the only reason that attracted me to the place but the experience was just not pleasant
