Nice cozy family run storefront restaurant. Italian-American fare, table service and full bar. Carry-out available. Well established with a following of dedicated regular patrons. Their operating hours have changed and they're currently open for lunch only on Thursday and Friday, when they open at 11:00am. They now open for dinner only at 4:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Outdoor tables and a big roll-up door provides open atmosphere in mild weather. Different atmosphere at lunch and dinner, quiet during the day, noisy and festive in the evening. Live music some evenings Quality of food good, service always adequate but varies some when they're busy. Can accommodate groups, call ahead recommend. Adequate free parking, and wheelchair accessible facilities. Debit and credit cards accepted. A little pricey, but not far out of line for the neighborhood.

Great little restaurant with lots to offer. Good Italian food and a lively place to have dinner. Pizzas are a good choice as well as other dishes. In the summer they open up the front and you can sit outside, have a drink and listen to live music. Cold weather and you are inside listening to live music. Great atmosphere, drinks and good food year round.

Unfortunately, we were not impressed. My grilled salmon was extremely small for a dinner entree.... probably no more than 4 ounces. I eat out frequently and often order salmon... this was embarrassing. My wife's chicken salad also only had three very small pieces of chicken. They were understaffed tonight with one server covering the entire restaurant.. bar and dining. So obviously things were quite slow. Otherwise, the Bistro 42 is average. Think we'll try other places next time.
