Steakadelphia

This has been my favorite cheesesteak shop in Portland for many years. I usually order the 12” cheesesteak with white American cheese (creamy) and add tomatoes, mushrooms, sweet peppers, mild peppers, bell peppers and pineapple. It’s a fantastic blend. And the extra toppings are free! I often get it as an 12” XL which gets you more meat and double cheese. Then it’s large enough for me and my wife to split along with fries. But even just getting a beef cheesesteak with white American and onions is excellent. The bread is from Philly and the meat is chopped up ribeye - just like they do in Philly. Some folks prefer Grant’s cheesesteaks but I think Steakadelphia is #1 and I highly recommend them! The burgers and fries are also really good.

The last few times I’ve been here the music is so loud you have to yell your order. They messed up my order because they couldn’t hear me. I’ll change it back to 5 stars when get the order correct is more important than rocking out. Other than that… Really authentic Philly. Best I've had on this coast! So I found this hidden gem totally by accident. I had another job in the neighborhood and walked pass them on my way. Oh the smell! So of course I had to go back when my task was done. Lovely charming people, no burned oil smell, meat was not greasy or chowee (is this a word?) and taste fresh! Definitely will go back.
