The food is basic hotel food, and we were there for the Waterfront Blues Fest, so the menu was even more limited. The real standout, though, was the whisk(e)y selection - a very diverse collection, at mostly reasonable prices. I travel a LOT, and frequent Marriott in nearly every city I visit, this one is a standout for me.

We had breakfast twice during our stay, and both times we got the Big Farm Omelete, and both times it was absolutely delicious and fresh, as if homemade.

The food interestingly and flavorfully reinterpets typical American fare with locally sourced, homemade protein and veggie dishes.
Consistent with the rest of my Marriott experience, the restaurant staff are customer service-oriented. I did have a bit of a wait for my check during one of my meals, but food and beverages arrived promptly.
If you're a bibliophile like myself, what's really neat is that they have ambient shelving with books available to reas while you wait for your meal - which was a nice touch!

Did both breakfast and dinner (appetizers) here in the Marriott off the lobby area as time-constrained during weekend trip.
First, a complement to the excellent staff at this location, both friendly and super efficient throughout. Like they enjoy working here - hard to find.
A solid 4.4 average for our meals at the PR, mostly good for this level of restaurant, tho the ribeye bites disappointed in both taste and presentation - increase the size if the steak bites so it's more distinct from the rest of the meal.
Breakfast was excellent, definitely exceeding our expectations, see pics.
Highly recommend this Marriott for a weekend stay. Don't miss the Press Release coffee shop on the other end of the lobby, seems well run and good coffee.
The "M" club on 3 was a good alternative too, incl fruit, smaller buffet selection of course, multi-drink machine coffee.

I came here on a Sunday when they opened at 4pm. I sat at the bar and was only the second person in the place. The bartender was both funny and nice, and the jams were great. I got the spring vegetable meal which was delicious and filling. No complaints for a hotel restaurant in downtown Portland. It started to get busy as I was leaving but not overwhelming.

My server, Frank, was the best! It was a busy night in the restaurant but he checked in with me and made sure I had what I needed. The food and drinks were good but the service was even better. 👍🏼😊

This is a 5 star experience. This isn't what you'd consider a "five star restraunt." This place is great and exactly what it is supposed to be. I stayed at the adjacent hotel here for a few days during a work conference. I came here two nights and each night it was fantastic. Both servers were great very professional and relax. The hostest the second night was terrific and very polite. The atmosphere here is great. It's nice without being to fancy. Good views of the TVs from just about everywhere and spot you can't see them. The food both times was great. I had the steak salad the first night and it was great. I just the chicken wings and bacon wrapped dates the second night. They were both excellent as well. The wing sauce is something I hadn't tried before and it was delicious, both hit the spot. If you're looking for a hotel with a great on site restraunt, this place is it. If you're looking for a quick local bite to eat this is also a great spot and right along a pretty decent walk on the riverside. Would absolutely recommend this place!

Fantastic selection of whiskey, and a great menu to boot. Both their breakfast and dinner menu have delicious options, served perfectly. For breakfast their 🥓 is 💯 perfect, and their house specialty burger with a bacon jam is great. Service is super friendly and the kitchen is fast. Ate there a few times while staying at the Marriott it is located in, and was not disappointed. Definitely recommend if you are staying at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, or a nearby hotel. The decor is classy... Kind of a modern rustic with nice art pieces and lighting.

Woah. If you love good food and tailored drinks this is the place to be. The staff are super friendly and always ready to educate and talk about the food and drinks. The Proof Reader Bourbon pairing is a dram come true (see what I did there?) Def an event to check out!
