Davey Jones Ice Cream Locker

Cute little shop with a great selection of ice cream along with other goodies like fudge and salt water taffy. It’s like a hidden gem, and it’s within walking distance of the lighthouse. The ice cream was delicious and was on overall great experience. As far as pricing, my boyfriend and I got two waffle cone cups for $10 plus tax, and it didn’t seem like too much at all. Some may think the pricing is high, but definitely beats island prices for sure! I will definitely go back and I recommend anyone else to go too.

My wife's family came down to visit from Michigan, we took a trip to south Padre island. We stopped at pirates landing on our way back to San Antonio. I took my kids for ice cream before our commute, as we were browsing flavors I spotted a really familiar color ice cream, in my mind I was thinking no way then I read the label it read "Hershey's Superman ice cream" I got so excited I accidently startled my kids as I ran out the door to tell my wife. We all got Superman ice cream and just tasting that flavor after so many years brought back so many memories.there is a store called meijers in the Midwest they had a ice cream stand called purple cow. Instantly took me back to my child hood. If you ever stop here please try the Superman ice cream as will not be disappointed.

The employees were very polite and the scoops were of decent size, could have been a bit bigger and there were not many flavors to choose from. Maybe about ten. The waffle cones were nice and fresh, or at least definitely not stale, and it was an overall pleasant experience that I look forward to when visiting South Padre Island

Great little ice cream shop! Stopped by after dinner at the pirates landing and got the kids each a sugar cones scoop. Decent prices too $3.50 each (add sprinkles or a topping for 50 cents) Small, cute, location with GREAT AC inside! Loved getting out of the heat while ordering. The lady behind the counter was very nice too. They also had salt water taffy and fudge Good experience. No indoor seating.
