Just popped in with friends for a meal and a drink before the theatre, nice people, nice place, great food, and lots of it. To top it all, Newcastle won .Poole has got a healthy support for sport. Thanks to the staff.

Went here last week for a cheap pub lunch . Food was good and service was excellent . Loads on the menu and lots of choice of drinks . Highly recommend and an easy stroll from the main shopping centre. Great place to stop for lunch and a drink whilst shopping

Always the best night in the George with all the friendly staff especially the managers Kat & Steve. Great food and and good value for both food and drink fantastic for live sports

Got sent up from plymouth to the nicu maternity ward as our baby was born at 30 weeks and they had no space in our home town. Didn't know the area or where anything was so we went to the closest place which was the George Hotel. They were very friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend. :)

Great place, lovely staff, nice cozy bed. Looking for a nice place to rest? this is the place. Not a luxurious choice, but it is value for money paid.

No airs and graces just good honest beer and good value food. On a busy roundabout but has pay parking at rear but the pub will refund (read their board to see term).

Haven't been to the George for a good few years but must say the staff and food was excellent. Husband says the mixed grill was one of the best he's had and being a fussy eater that's saying something. Anyone looking for good food this is the place to visit. Will definitely come again soon
