Plainview Diner

My family grew up on Long Island and moved out of state a few years ago. We were visiting family and the Plainview Diner was close to our hotel. Lots of options for breakfast. Our family decided on French toast, pancakes and an omelet. The food was average. We were most excited about the French toast, but it was our least favorite. The other items were as expected and OK. It was very expensive at about $20 per person. Waitress was very friendly and helpful.

I was on vacation in the area and wanted to come back every day, the food is so good, the burgers are insanely good and the milkshakes are pretty big. The fried chicken is okay, maybe a little more seasoning but everything’s pretty worth it. I LOVE the curly fries, portion sizes are good and filling.

This is the best diner. The food is always fresh, plentiful, and fairly priced. The staff genuinely seem kind and happy. Omelettes are always cooked to perfection. Wait staff doesn't rush you out and keep the coffee coming. Love the spinach and feta omelette. Also, I'm vegetarian now, but I used to love their corned beef hash (which clearly does not come out of a can) and eggs.

This place has been here forever. The center of Plainview. Easy to see right off of Old Country Road. Wheelchair accessible entrance. Moderately clean facilities. Reasonably priced. Typical Diner fare. Good for breakfast. Nice staff. Credit cards accepted. We will most likely be going back.

Anytime I visit Long Island I find myself trying to find this diner... I came accross this place about three years ago and the food is always very tasty and the service is great.. Everyone always has a smile there. On the very first time I visited Plainview, I even got the chance to see Howard Stern walk out of this place. I understand his limo driver brings him there quite often. So, if you get to visit Plainview Diner, you never know when you'll see Howard but be sure that your service will be great and the food will be delicious!
