Golden Corral

I really didn't enjoy my experience at this particular restaurant. They served old, dried out, disgusting food. The manager acts as if they wasn't oblivious, just didn't care. Golden Corral needs to take another look at their management team. I guess when providing a buffet for people to indulge in without a limit, creates an overwhelming sense urgency that compromises the Integrity of the food. This is not a good way to run a business. Please pick your pride back up leave your laziness at the door. Look at my pictures of burned, dry, and thrown together food.

Wow! We usually go to Ponderosa, but we decided to go to The Golden Coral instead. Finding one is a little bit of work. You have some that are not the most appealing ones to go to, we went to the one in Plainfield. Staff was above usual rate, the food was HOT, And the variety was mind blowing, they have almost anything a person would want. Price wasn't to bad , the extra time it took to get there was way worth it. I don't think we can ever go back to Ponderosa again! Sorry Ponderosa no bad feeling about you, .. But they have the same old stuff, , if you haven't been to the Golden Coral...I recommend you try it..Go out to Plainfield..

Too much$ for not enough selection. Popcorn shrimp versus plump yummy shrimp. Not impressed with the selection of food offered for dinner. I paid $36/2 for beans, cornbread, sirloin steak that looked like chopped hamburger. Instead of a juicy mouth watering steak. I understand $ is tight & you're trying to cut costs however I was sadly disappointed with the food selection. Our waitress was the BEST part of our visit. She was bubbly, friendly,, and never let our drinks sit empty. Thank you Betty

So for an all you can eat buffet this one offers really good food for the money you are going to spend. It's one of the cleanest buffets and has a great selection. I just don't like how the "servers keep coming around to get plates and refills I mean I'm paying such a hi price for me to go pick out my food I will get my own drinks and want to be left to do so....I pay dining prices at nice dining restaurants when I want to be served to . At a buffet I want to be left alone to get what I want and not be bothered or feel rushed to finish something. If I want to leave a bite of something a d get something else to go with it I don't want someone coming and taking my plate away while I get up to go back for more. I want to be left alone til I am fully done

Edit 22 may 2019: I followed their request to contact their customer service the same day about my review and they never contacted me back. My guess is they want the appearance they care. The building (roof) is in desperate need of repairs. It was lightly raining during our visit and they actually had to block a large section because water dripped onto customers and their food. Our waitress was amazing, very kind and attentive. Well, there seemed to be some confusion and our original waitress was moved to a different section and only checked on us once, but the woman in our section really stepped up. I only wish I could remember her name! Food was good. My one worry is that based on the shape of the roof there is very likely rot and mold in their ceiling which makes me worried if that could somehow affect the food. The staff was disgusted and appalled that management is not interested in fixing the roof at the time (we asked).

We are visiting from out of town. The manager let me use my discount for a child's price because I had gastric sleeve surgery and had my card with me. He was super friendly and I appreciate it. Good hot food and the place was as clean as it could be because of some roof work being done. Thank you and keep up the good work!
