I was passing through Plainfield and decided to eat here. The Calzone I ordered was really good. The restaurant was clean as far as I could tell. It took awhile to get the check but I only saw 3 people working so it could be lack of help. I would stop here again if I was close by. All in all, a positive experience.

Delicious food and excellent service! Sampler ravioli, pizza, lasagna and shrimp linguini alfredo. And a cannoli. We'll be returning. Especially for the wood fired pizza. 😎

This place was recommended by a friend so I decided to give it a try. Food was outstanding with service to match. Definitely worth another visit!! The dish pictured is the Chicken Parm.

Was really good food, had the stuffed pepperoni and sausage 16in pizza, along with bread sticks and garlic knots

The pizza is delicious, especially the chicken and spinach pizza. I don't eat crust on every pizza, but the crust on Sal's pizza is fresh and yummy.

We made an online Oder and went to go pick it up. The doors were locked and the staff just looked at us and all the other customers. We were charged for our food and no answers. There were around 3 other cars and customers with similar problems outside waiting. I can’t speak of the food but customer service here is well, non existent. 😅

Love this place. Food is delicious and staff is very friendly.
We went out for my daughter's birthday, who wanted to go to a local chain restaurant. However, it was an hour wait for a table, despite the dining room being fairly quiet. So, we decided to try Sal's.
When we arrived at 6pm on Tuesday, we were seated immediately in the patio, as requested. Servers were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere especially on the patio is very intimate and comfortable. Although we didn't interact with the other patrons, you almost feel like you are dining at a friend's house. And I'm an introvert who usually hates public gatherings.
Everything was delicious and the portions are so generous that we all had leftovers for lunch the next day. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and we were encouraged to share each other's dishes. While conversing with our server, she discovered that it was our daughter's birthday so she brought her a piece of tiramisu on the house.
It can be a little expensive, depending on what you order but well worth it. For 4 of us, we had 2 appetizers, 3 non-alcoholic drinks, 1 cocktail, 2 small pizzas, 2 entrees (chicken parm, and a garlic pasta) which include salad or soup, it was just over $100 including tax and tip.

Changing my rating for this place. The female owner/manager is extremely rude and aggressive. Portion sizes of some items are ridiculous for the price charged ($11 for a ham hoagie with 2 very thin slices of ham). Some of the wait staff had no idea what they were doing and took 30 minutes longer to do the same tasks that other wait staff did. Just an all around hot mess. Their is enough Italian joints around that do better than this place that I will give my money too and would suggest others do the same.
