Opera House Steak And Seafood

The atmosphere at Opera House is super cozy chill, and intimate, beautifully decorated and open and at a great location in downtown Plainfield. All the staff we interacted with were warm and welcoming, our server was very friendly, and the service was great. However, the food was extremely underwhelming for the price paid and it’s unfortunate that’s the case given the service and atmosphere was great. NY strip steak was tough, chewy, dry and had little flavor and the Cajun pasta was just mediocre. If they stepped up their food game, we would certainly be back though as of now, not anytime soon.

I have eaten here many times, always a great experience! We hosted our small wedding reception here August of 2020 and we were thrilled with how everything turned out!!! The staff was fantastic, the food was great, and the atmosphere was awesome! We had about 25ish people in the seperate room, our cake was displayed beautifully, and it felt like the perfect intimate reception! I highly recommend using the Opera House for any of your needs!

The staff was very friendly and their service was great. The food not so great. The steaks were small the gravy was overly salty and the green bean looked and tasted straight out of a can. All and all we feel like we could have had a better meal at a diner. Maybe COVID is really hurting the restaurant we might try again someday but it won’t be soon.

Dining is not just about food. The decor, service and ambiance all play a role for an unforgettable dining experience. We paid the Opera House a visit on our anniversary and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the steak was to die for! The dining room had a great feel to it (grand and elegant) and the personal service was outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend this place!
