Take flight with “Doughbird’s” second location at the Colony, on 7th, an aviation themed local spot featuring Doughbird’s mascot, “Von Zizzle.” PIzza and Rotisserie chicken, the best of two worlds, can be enjoyed here. For starters, the lebanese hummus, a family recipe, is a nutty, beany, and creamy delight with olive oil, garlic and lemon, and hearth bread for dipping.. Love the blistered shishito peppers that come with a soy and citrus- yuzu sauce, lending a delicious umami flavor to the peppers. Pizza: Doughbird’s signature dough recipe is a lighter and healthier crust using organic flour from Central Milling. Though the majority of pizzas are thin crust, Fox wanted to add the iconic square shaped and crunchy Detroit Style pizza to the menu, and is only available at this Dough Bird location. Popular pizzas on the menu: The Aviator,their signature, a meat-heavy pie with sweet glazed bacon, The Copper Hat (prosciutto, goat cheese, medjool date, salted pistachio, arugula), or the Black Truffle Mushroom with smoked mozzarella. Chicken: Dry-rubbed chicken, served as a half or whole bird, is served from the rotisserie golden brown and packed with flavor. Order this with the pureed potatoes and gravy. This family friendly eatery offers a slew of other items if you’re not craving pizza or chicken. Salads, sandwiches, pot pie and prime rib are familiar staples for any palate. Cocktails: Sip on refreshing libations such as the The Local (strawberry infused vodka, french grapefruit liqueur, lemon, sparkling wine) or the Spicy Blackberry Margarita (blanco tequila, habanero pepper, tajin, fresh lime) Finish your meal with a sweet finish and order the Peanut Butter Brookie, a warm chocolate brownie & peanut butter cookie. served à la mode (best of both worlds)

BBQ chicken pizza could have been a bit better...kind of sweet. Prime rib was very good. Shishito peppers were AWESOME! Service was good, but it took a couple of tries to get our orders correct, which they did. The atmosphere is always rather nice, but it was VERY loud. They need to bring down the volume for comfortable conversations with friends.

We came in on a Friday night during the dinner rush so the place was packed and workers were flying around. We sat at the bar and had good service. Food took a little while but it was prime time so understandable. Artichoke pizza was amazing and bbq chicken salad was insanely flavorful. We’re definitely coming back to try more pizzas, rotisserie chicken, and their chicken wings look so good! Can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful food, would happily eat hear almost any time. Service was great! She didn't make an effort to connect very much and we had some long wait times but overall very pleasant. The atmosphere is wonderful and unique, although a little loud for my taste. Parking was also a bear when busy. Had to park in the adjoining strip mall lot.

Had been three times before, and first time in a couple years and it was delicious as always!! Three of us shared a pepperoni pizza and it was perfect amount…especially because we had the butterscotch cake and ice cream after which is unbelievable. Only thing that was different this time was getting the receipt and not being offered/asked if we wanted dessert. Other than that no complaints and say it’s a must. Great menu and for the prices can’t beat it! Also, the bathrooms are well kept and the restaurant itself is real clean.
