Primohoagies

Primo Hoagies is definitely primo for hoagies! Having spent the summers of my youth on LBI, I’ve long believed hoagies are at the top of the sub sandwich category… so when we moved to Philly, I looked forward to great hoagies everywhere. But after place after place let me down, finally Primo delivered. Just all around good, can’t wait to try more of their varieties!

We have an office near by and often use Primos catering for our work events. Recently, I scheduled a delivery for a work event due to start at 12pm. The delivery arrived at 11:15 (15 min ahead of scheduled delivery time) but I realized that I had only ordered 1 tray when I needed 2. I ran over to Primos and explained to them I accidentally ordered 1 tray which would not be enough and would they be able make me just a couple extra sandwiches by 12. They went above and beyond to quickly make me a small tray when they obviously already had a lot on their plates. Quick, delicious, and the team always goes above and beyond.

Not fancy but not frivolous. If you’re going to indulge a decadent predilection for prosciutto— a taste which even my recent transition to flexitarianism hasn’t yet extinguished — you’ll want to do it here. At least, unless you know of a small area deli owned by an Italian American family. Good deli makes life worth living.

I was in Philly for a few hours and really wanted a good authentic cheesesteak. Their menu was a little confusing, so I didn't know what toppings were even available, so I ended up with just meat, cheese, and onions on bread. That being said, the meat and bread were both very good, but due to not having condiments, it was a little dry. I'd like to see a re-designed menu if I came back
