Got off to a slow start here since we were underquoted on the wait time for a table on Friday night. There were 3 of us and we were told 25 minutes, ended up waiting at least 45 while watching many parties of 2 who came in after us get seated. It’s a tight space and hard to fit big groups I guess. The bar is full service if you can find a seat. While we waiting, we chatted with the hostess and learned a little about the history of the place.
Once we were seated, the service was very timely. Water was brought out right after we ordered drinks and refilled when we needed it, beers weren’t far behind, and meals came out in a reasonable time.
Their draft beer list is long and has a really good variety of different styles, strengths, Irish vs domestic beers. Easy to find something you’ll like. I ordered a Breckenridge “Christmas ale”, which I loved - it was like a dark ale flavoured like a stout or porter.
I had the blackened salmon to eat. I loved the vodka sauce that the salmon was dressed with and the sides of asparagus and bell pepper rice were great complements. It was a good-sized cut of salmon.
The prices are reasonable across the board.
Again, it’s tight, and because it was busy, that meant people were really packed in the bar area, and it was loud, but the noise level wasn’t so bad near our table. It did occasionally get drafty by the door though. It’s a cool building and has the classic pub atmosphere.

Great food and drink at a great price. Crowded on a Friday evening but they got us out in plenty of time for our show. Portions very plentiful.

Everything about this place is amazing. Have just drinks or eat. All the bartenders including Jackie were amazing bartenders! Had such an amazing evening! We will definitely be back the next time we visit Philly

Like all Philly establishments.. overpriced. Food and service were good. The restaurant is an old school, cozy vibe. Went to try the famous wings which were like $15 for 5 whole wings. They weren't bad. Tried a few of the sauces as well. Blu cheese stood out.

I’ve been coming here for three years and have never been disappointed. Great food. Great atmosphere. And great Guinness. Brion especially was incredibly attentive and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend without any reservation.

I had the Reuben and a beer. The sandwich was tasty if not too distinctive, but the beer, an English sour, was quite unique. Very friendly service.

First time here. Absolutely loved the set up/vibe of the place. Our waitress Nikki, was wonderful, so friendly, pleasant, & attentive. 🙂
All of the food was delicious, I enjoyed the spicy grilled chicken sandwich & the honey mustard sauce was really good.
