Silverlake Hunan Restaurant

I have been going here for at least 15 years and they have done an excellent job. I usually get the chicken fried rice but have got their beef from time to time. Their meat is premium. I never get meat that has gristle or fat in it unlike other places. I drive about 25 minutes one way from another town just for this food. This place is family owned and has been run by the same person since it opened. Nice quiet and well kept restaurant. Prices are actually affordable despite the poor economy. I recommend Silverlake Hunan to anyone looking for Chinese food.

Go to Chinese place in the area (I've tried a couple of them). I like to do takeout. Very quick with bringing your food out and it tastes great. Price is great too. Update: went for dine in a couple of times and still the same. Ordered 3 dishes and everything came out in about 5 mins and tasted great!

I've been going to this restaurant for over 15 years since Pearland has been developing. I will say this - they quality of food is amazing. Hot and sour soup - 5/5 I am very picky about my hot and sour soup 1 I can't stand when it's thick and too much cornstarch ..lack of flavor or too much salt. This restaurant isn't like that. I find they make their hot and sour soup perfect and consistent since I've been ordering here for many years. Love it. Delicious items: Crab yummy (fried cheese puffs) Egg rolls Pan friend dumplings General toas chicken Mongolian beef Hunan chicken Friend rice dishes Everything from fried rice, general toas, beef dish ...never disappoints. I found that if you eat something specific, they are always willing to make sure your order is the way you want which is awesome and have always appreciated. First time visiting this place. I was blown away with how delicious the food is. I'm extremely picky when it comes to Asian cuisine. They did not disappoint! The fried rice is super flavorful and well seasoned. Several other dishes I've tried were all tasteful. The cleanliness of the restaurant is required! The food is always made fresh to order and without a long wait time. There's also an option to order online as well. Highly recommend.
